My involvement in the Belgian Shepherd began in 1981 and has grown. We now own & breed all 4 varieties (Groenendael, Laekenois, Malinois and Tervueren) with carefully planned litters sometimes available. Dogs bred by us are Multi Specialty BISS/BOB winners, All Breed Group and In Show winners. Our Belgians also work or compete in Obedience, Rally-O, Tracking, Herding, Lure Coursing, IPO, Mondo Ring, IGP as well as fully fledged working dogs and family companions. We have imported Terv, Groen, Mal and Laek from Belgium, USA, Portugal, Hungary and Italy. We own dogs in Greece, United Kingdom, Holland, Mexico and America.

Our great love is the Malinois and Laekenois but we do have a few Groenendaels that are very successful in the show ring at the moment.
We raise our puppies in our home as part of our family. They spend lots of time with us and our children. Situated on a large farm in a rural area they are able to explore and enjoy the great outdoors!
As we only breed when we are after a new puppy for ourselves we only have limited numbers available occasionally.

Our Belgian Shepherds are first and foremost our much loved pets and companions.

Belgian Shepherds can excel in any field you choose- Obedience, Rally Obedience, Agility, Tracking, Endurance, Lure Coursing, Herding, Weightpull or Dryland Sledding. Our adult Belgian Shepherds train and compete in some of the above disciplines, and they also participate in conformation shows.

We believe they should be 'fit for purpose' - which means instinctive herding ability, coupled with fitness and intelligence, to willingly perform any task required.

Belgian Shepherds are a very affectionate breed, and have an immense desire to please, creating extremely loyal and devoted companions. They are ideal family pets and they can also be suitable for homes with cats and other animals.

The Laekenois is a beautiful breed.. they are extremely smart, agile and willing to please. This particular variety does nothing by halves, they are intense and require an experienced handler. The Laekenois will be loyal, loving and protective of its family. This variety of the Belgian Shepherd is not for the faint hearted, they will teach you how to be a better dog trainer and handler. They will love you with their whole being. They are an amazing dog. They are also very rare, with less than 230 born in Australia over the past 28 years.

We are planning a litter mid to late 2022..

All breeding dogs are DNA profiled, hip/elbow scored and eye tested, results are available on request by interested puppy buyers.

At Samayah Samoyeds we are incredibly proud and excited awaiting the arrival of a special litter from very precious imported frozen semen, the Father Rhadost Zhizni Galactix (RUSSIA)/IMP FINLAND, his home name MAX. It has been a 3 year journey for us to get to this point. An extensive amount of planning and co-operation from the Sire’s Russian breeder, and the collecting Veterinary clinic in Finland to prepare and send the semen to Australia, has gone into making this happen on our end for this litter to be possible. The Sire’s temperament is second to none, as is told to me by his show handlers and breeders in Europe who have used him at stud and interacted with him for showing. Combining this stunning boy with my beloved Faith (Kalaska Faith N Devotion) bred by the top Kennel Kalaska Samoyeds is the perfect combination. Of course both Sire and Dam have all the necessary breeding health clearances. I am not a volume breeder, I research and plan my litters very carefully. I do not have a lot of dogs and they are house dogs not in kennels. Puppies will be born and raised inside my home, they will experience the usual business of a family household, and be loved, cuddled, and adored. I invite inquiries from families wanting a new family member (approved homes only), but I strongly encourage show/ breeding inquiries due to the unique value of this litter, (Must be health testing breeders and active exhibitors)
