Quality Improvement is the key to any well run business and breeding excellent dogs is no exception. Breeders of the 1st Australian Bred VN American Grand Champion Established in 1989 the Newfashion prefix is held in high regard. We have continued to strive towards a best practice approach which has seen our breeding program go from strength to strength. Our dogs are recognised locally and overseas as being fine examples of the breed and our stud males have been used extensively to reproduce true breed type in Australia, New Zealand, Italy and the USA. Puppies are bred from imported lines which we have personally selected to compliment our breeding program, they are raised in a family environment with all effort being made to ensure that carry optimal health status. In order to enhance our breeding program over the years, we have imported a number of dogs from various kennels around the world as well as importing semen from some of the best males in the breed. Whilst we enjoy showing our dogs this is not our main focus, family and work commitments often prevent us from attending some events, however, we certainly make our presence felt when in attendance. please note we do not keep puppy wait lists and we do not advertise litters, all enquiries should be made via phone call or email. After falling in love with the breed, we undertook immense research to preserve the breed standard. We hope to contribute to the gene pool in Australia by introducing new lines from Europe. Our focus is producing puppies for showing & pet homes, as we strive for overall soundness alongside health, temperament, and type. While we are a small kennel based in Melbourne, we do not breed often. However, when we do have a litter, we raise our puppies in our family home using the puppy culture method over a 9-week period. This ensures our puppies head off to their new homes well rounded and confident. We enter our dogs in conformation showing & have been fortunate to gain 2 x Australian Champion titles. Home of the first Supreme Champion in South Australia and only one of 3 bitches to obtain this title in Australia. I have had Newfoundlands in my life for over 35 years. They roam free on acreage in the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula town of Myponga. They have access to the house, as Newfoundlands love their people and like to be near them. As a versatile working breed, they not only compete in the show ring, but do scenting, carting and obedience. I travel regularly to show my dogs. Winning Best in show at the 2023 NSW Newfoundland speciality show, Runner up in show 2022/2023 Victorian specialty show and numerous group and in show awards around South Australia. My dogs are extensively health tested. Hips, elbows, DNA for Cystinuria and heart Doppler cleared. Whilst I only breed occasionally, my pups are raised in a family home environment and are very well socialised before going to their forever homes.

Shadoze Newfoundlands is located in the beautiful Yarra Valley, Victoria. We fell in love with the breed when first encountering ‘Lurch’ in the mid-1990s, then successfully entered the world of dog showing under the guidance of Capebass Newfoundlands in 2022. As we learnt more about this loyal and affectionate breed, we knew we wanted to contribute to improving the Newfoundland in Australia. Our breeding philosophy prioritises temperament, health and type, with dog well-being always at the forefront. Our foundation bitch, Aust CH Capebass Love in the Shadows, is an integral and active member of our family. She is frequently found lounging on the couch or exploring the Yarra Valley.
