My aim is to breed happy healthy long living dogs that are sound of mind and body. Our dogs are living well into their teens. All breeding stock is DNA tested.
We do not breed often and only when we want something to campaign ourselves. Making up champions, although rewarding, is secondary to finding good homes and as such we do not have contracts requiring people to show their dogs if all they are looking for is a pet/companion. As much I would love to have more of my stock in the show ring, good homes are more important to me than titles. Most puppies go to loving pet homes to people who simply want happy healthy long living dogs.
Was the home of AM/CAN CH STARLAINE WEST SIDE STORY (imp USA). He has numerous BIS winning progeny, Supreme Champions and Champions from limited stud work. Sadly he passed away at over 10 years of age in April 2018. We have imported semen from several overseas dogs in our quest to diversify while keeping our Dobermanns true to type. We also have semen from some well known dogs in Australia.

We believe in the whole Dobermann, Type, temperament, soundness, longevity, versatility.
The primary goal of our breeding program, here at Valkyrian Dobermanns, with health as our first priority, is to produce CORRECT TYPE, the Ultimate Dobermann being loyal, intelligent, elegant, and of powerful breed type.
To this end we have imported 6 Dobermanns in the past 7 years (5 produced by frozen semen of famous dogs from over 20 years ago). They are true to breed type and as such are stable, calm, devoted, highly trainable and intelligent family guardians.
We compete in conformation shows but also Agility, Tracking and games.
We offer full breeder support and like to have new owners stay in touch.
We health test all our potential breeding dogs by full DNA through Orivet.

Exciting news for us here at TagJager Dobermanns.
We had a confirmed pregnancy yesterday with our vet with our very beautiful Hera. Our special girl is having her first litter roughly around the 12th of August. A litter of 8 to 9 all black puppies is expected. Puppies will be ready to leave us around the second week in October.
TagJager Heart Of Glass DNA tested NEGATIVE/CLEAR for all genetic health issues. (Embark results can be shared with new owners on request).
Hera went in pup to a lovely young handsome boy Igor from Wattavue kennels in QLD.

Puppies will be raised inside as part of our family. We have cats and small dogs. Our Lolly (Italian Greyhound) is a favourite with the puppies. Once old enough they get to meet poultry, mini goats, horses and cattle all in a safe environment. My kids have all grown up now but I do twist my grandchildren's arms into coming for puppy play dates.

We are expecting a litter in July ready to go to their new homes in September.
The sire Ch Sonza Dream Walker WPD 'Rocky' was bred by us and did very well in the show ring titling before 12 months of age with limited showing. His pedigree combines both American and older Australian bloodlines. He has recently completed the Working Pack Dog title, requiring him to walk carrying 30% of his body weight over 64km, testament to his fitness and athleticism.
The dam Doberland Spirit has been leased from Redshift Dobermanns and is from pure European lineage. She is sired by frozen semen from accomplished show and working dog Am Ch Mex Ch Int Ch Adlercrest Danzig IPO3, born 1987. We expect the integration of these pedigrees to give us puppies that will have excellent breed type, temperament and health.
Sire and dam have undergone the UC Davis VGL Canine Genetic Diversity test, and their results indicate this litter should have above average longevity and genetic health.
Both black & rust and brown & rust puppies are available. Puppies come vaccinated, microchipped, regularly wormed and registered with Dogs ACT. We also provide an extensive information pack detailing our nutrition, health, training and grooming advice. Jewel had her pregnancy confirmed yesterday 17 July and will be expected end of August. This is a repeat mating of Tagjager Dreaming of Jewels and Tagjager Not A Bad LilWar. The past litter was a mixture of red/tan and black/tan. All pups from the previous litter have grown into very nice family dogs. Photos of the previous litter are available on my website.
Tagjager Dreaming of Jewels has been checked by a cardiologist and given the all clear. Her DNA testing is VWD Carrier and one copy DCM1. Tagjager Not A Bad LilWar is clear of all genetic health issues. The pups can only be Carrier and not Affected.

All puppies will be raised in a family environment with access to cats, chickens, goats, horses, cattle and other dogs.
