Sonza Dobermanns have been showing and breeding quality Dobermanns since 1980. Our dogs have correct temperaments making excellent family dogs and loyal companions. The bloodlines we have carefully selected include some of the best European, North American, South American and older Australian bloodlines that have excelled in the show ring and in obedience. Our breeding philosophy focuses on soundness, health, longevity and conformation with each generation being better than the last. We are committed to the preservation of the Dobermann breed. We are proactive in genetic testing including DCM1, DCM2, vWD and UC Davis VGL Genetic Diversity testing for all of our breeding dogs. Over the years John has campaigned many dogs to conformation and obedience titles. He is also a Utility and Gundogs judge. We have been breeding Golden Retrievers since the late 1990s. Although we don't show or trial regularly anymore, we have in the past and may again in the future, instead focussing on exhibiting our Dobermanns at this time. Despite this we place great value on type and conformation and our dogs pedigrees contain Grand and Supreme Champions, as well as imports from England, Scandinavia and elsewhere in Europe. Our goal is to breed quality family companions with a focus on soundness, health, longevity and temperament. All of our dogs and bitches have been hip & elbow scored, have ophthalmologist certificates and sound hearts. John is an ANKC Group 3 and Group 6 conformation judge and obedience judge.
