We have welcomed a litter of beautiful Black Russian Terriers. 3 boys currently available to pet and show homes with breeding rights. This litter has dual Sires, so on top of health dna testing these babies will have parent confirmation prior to leaving the kennel. Babies are also registered with Dogs NZ, and the Companion animal database. They all come with a comprehensive puppy pack and lifetime support from us at Black Bears Kennel. Established in 2024, we are proud guardians of the magnificent Black Russian Terrier, a breed we've cherished since 2014 We actively participate in conformation and obedience competitions. Our primary focus is on three main pillars: temperament, health, and sound structure. Maintaining breed type and correctness is essential in our breeding program. We are dedicated to staying informed about the Black Russian Terrier on a global scale. Our pursuit of knowledge is an on-going journey, as we constantly seek to educate ourselves about all aspects of the BRT, including health issues and pedigree lines. All dogs we consider for breeding undergo thorough health tests, including evaluations for hip and elbow dysplasia. We screen for HUU, JLPP, PRA, and other relevant tests specific to the breed. We are happy to provide health testing results upon request. Our mission is to breed exceptional BRT’s that embody breed type, health, soundness, and substantial conformation to the breed standard, all while possessing beautiful temperaments. After falling in love with this breed we have imported some of the best blood lines from the top kennels in Russia's Novosibirsk and Moscow regions, into Australia. Our breeding program is based on imports from Russia which is a very difficult task due to Australia's quarantine regulations. To date, we have imported five Russian Black Terrier's. We have also created an extensive bank of imported frozen semen from top males to strengthen our breeding program. Our puppies are whelped and raised on our property, receiving round the clock care. It would be an understatement to tell you that we are in love with this breed. Our BRTs are a very important part of the family and are first and foremost well-loved companions. They receive the love, attention, exercise and training that they require and deserve. BRT’s will do best living with their human family, bonding with each member to become devoted friends, companions and protectors. Russia is the home country of the Black Russian Terrier (BRT) and is also my native country. I started breeding and showing these beautiful dogs in Russia in 1991, using some of best blood lines available in Moscow. It was a delight to be able to obtain a BRT puppy CH Yarrawon Catarina (CASSIE) from Rod Maruff here in Melbourne 20 years ago and start my own Ruslana Kennel . In 2019 we got the new champion and BOB winner on Melbourne Royal show Ruslana Harvard (owner Terry Lia) which become stud dog for our kennel. RUSLANA Jezabell finishes her Champion title and get all her health tests with a great results. Health testing available to view from both parents, we welcome visitors to come and meet us and our pups and Dam. All pups are microchipped, DNA screened, registered with Dogs NZ and come with an extensive puppy pack and lifetime breeder support. Pups are treated for worms 2 weekly (to 12 weeks), and fleas. All puppies also complete both an ESI and ENS program between 3-16 days old. Pups spend most of their time outside playing and exploring although have free access to come back inside as they want.
