I am a Long-standing dedicated Basset Hound breeder, having successfully exhibited my Bassets at not only Breed Specialty shows, but also All Breed Shows. My first Basset came into my life in late 1969, and for the past 50 plus years, Basset Hounds have continued to be much loved family companions. I am a Life Member of the Basset Hound Club of Victoria Inc, Member of Basset Hound Club of NSW, and a member of Dogs Victoria (affiliated Dogs Australia/ANKC). I am an experienced ANKC licenced judge for Hounds (group 4); Gundogs (Group 3); Working Dog (Group 5) and Non-sporting (Group 7), and regularly judge these breeds, not only in Australia, but also New Zealand, and the USA. I have also judged Basset Hounds at Breed Speciality Championship Shows not only within Australia, but also New Zealand, the UK as well as the USA. Thoughtfully bred, and lovingly raised puppies from health tested parents, are occasionally available to good homes only.

Collectively as a mother/daughter duo under the Kamahi prefix have over 80 years combined breeding experience, showing and handling to various titles of Australian, Grand and Supreme Champions winning multi Best in Show, Best in Hound Group and Best Class in Show awards at both All Breed and Speciality shows, including Best in Hound Group placements at numerous Royals, under Judges here in Australian and from around the world. Breeders of Champion Basset Hounds since 1979. We strive to breed sound moderate hounds with excellent temperaments. We have bred three of only six New Zealand Grand Champion Basset Hounds ever: GR CH Hunterspark Mr Basil;GR CH & Aus CH Hunterspark Mr Sandman; and GR CH Hunterspark Mr Bertie Hunterspark was also associated for many years with Foxhounds and imported the first show Foxhounds into New Zealand in 1988, one of these hounds went on to be the only Grand Champion Foxhound, GR CHc Mingus Hound Hastings imp Aus

We are a small kennel located in the quiet town of Keppel sands QLD on a small farm. We enjoy show casing our bassets in confirmation dog shows. They also enjoy life on and around our fame with our children and other animals

We currently have three tri colour female puppies that are ready to go to their new homes now (just in time for Christmas). The cost of our puppies is $3.500 and that includes registration (full registration with Dogs Qld), immunisation, micro-chipping, chiropractor check and a vet check prior to departure. Our pedigrees are of the highest standard and quality, with blood lines including dogs imported from the United States of America, England, and Ireland. We take great pride in breeding sound basset hounds, and as a result of this have had major wins in many states, and our Kennel name appearing on many winning dogs throughout this country and overseas, which is something we are very proud of. We have 50 years of trouble free breeding and have clean lines as we have been very careful with what we have used to improve the breed. Some of our more recent successes include winning Best In Show at the Basset Hound National Show held in Victoria in November 2023, Best in Show at both the Qld and NSW Basset Hound Club Championship shows as well as Best of Breed at both shows held at the Brisbane Royal in 2024.
