I have been involved with Basset Hounds for 40 years and have in that time Bred Australian Champions and Australian Supreme Champions who have won over 30 x Best Exhibit In Show awards , as well as 19 x Basset Hound Specialty Best in Show awards under Australian and International Judges . Cayugaridge has been breeding basset hounds after competing in the hound ring for over 15 years with standard wire dachshunds and breeding American cocker spaniels for over 20 years in the USA. Our lines are based on imported American and European lines, as well as Australian lines from Beauchasseur basset hounds. We test all our dogs for key basset hound health issues including LaFora, POAG, severe autoimmune syndrome and thrombocytopaenia. We pride ourselves on great basset temperaments, type and correct movement. We've imported and added leading European lines to enhance our breeding program in 2024. We have a litter arriving at the end of October 2024 with Ch Cayugaridge Curacao (tricolour male) x Ch Cayugaridge The Botanist (mahogany and white female). See photos in our breed profile. Having owned Basset Hounds for over 40 years, our goal is to also help others enjoy the breed. We are located on a small acreage property in South Gippsland, Victoria and our Bassets are part of our home. All puppies have Registration Papers and will leave Microchipped, Vaccinated, Wormed, Vet checked and with a Starter Puppy Kit. Welcome to LOWANLONG Hounds. We are a young family located in South East Queensland on a beef cattle property with our basset hounds and dachshunds. We will not be having any litters until 2025. All information in regards to puppies can be seen on our website. Puppies go to new homes no earlier than 10wks of age with first vaccinations, full vet checks, worming, tick and flea prevention - along with generous puppy packs. PET ONLY HOMES. Alice our lovely tri coloured girl is growing beautifully! We have such high hopes for this young lady and she is already doing us proud. Her conformation and temperament are exceptional!

Bassett hound puppies. Ready for their new homes 21/1/2025. Will be Microchipped, vaccinated, DNA recorded, have had a chiropractic visit and have been vet health checked prior to pickup. They will be registered with Dogs Queensland on main register. There are 3 females and 1 male. $4000

We currently have three tri colour female puppies that are ready to go to their new homes now (just in time for Christmas). The cost of our puppies is $3.500 and that includes registration (full registration with Dogs Qld), immunisation, micro-chipping, chiropractor check and a vet check prior to departure. Our pedigrees are of the highest standard and quality, with blood lines including dogs imported from the United States of America, England, and Ireland. We take great pride in breeding sound basset hounds, and as a result of this have had major wins in many states, and our Kennel name appearing on many winning dogs throughout this country and overseas, which is something we are very proud of. We have 50 years of trouble free breeding and have clean lines as we have been very careful with what we have used to improve the breed. Some of our more recent successes include winning Best In Show at the Basset Hound National Show held in Victoria in November 2023, Best in Show at both the Qld and NSW Basset Hound Club Championship shows as well as Best of Breed at both shows held at the Brisbane Royal in 2024.
