Vashka Samoyed is a small kennel breeding selectively to further the quality & working ability of the Samoyed. Vashka has been involved in showing & breeding samoyed for more than 20 years. Vashka Kennel has produced many home bred show champions from dogs from Australian, English, Finnish, New Zealand and American lines and believes in showing coloured samoyed ( cream, biscuit ) not just white ones. All breeding stock are hip scored at an appropriate age Vashka also is the home of samoyeds with herding titles, having bred Vashka White Chemistry (AI) HIC, HT, PT, HSAs - the young lady who blazed the way for Samoyed in Herding in Australia. Many other samoyed at Vashka have herding titles including Ch Snowmist I'll Follow You (Imp Finland) HIC the only imported samoyed to gain a herding award. CH Vashka Solar Chemistry HSAs & Ch Vashka Sun Chemistry HSAs (litter brother & sister) are also the youngest samoyed to gain the Herding Instinct test, both gaining the award at 6 months & 3 days of age. They progressed well and both gained their PT titles at 13 months of age. Ch Vashka Sun Chemistry HSAs excelled becoming the first samoyed to gain the HSAs (herding Started A course sheep) in Australia, Followed by other Vashka samoyeds. Herding continues to be a activity that the samoyeds love.

We are a small kennel located on the beautiful Fleurieu peninsula in South Australia breeding, showing and trialing Belgian Shepherds (Groenendael & Tervueren) and Samoyeds. All of our breeding stock are fully health tested, DNA profiled and undergo a temperament evaluation. We enjoy training and competing in a multitude of dog sports with our dogs but first and foremost they are beloved family pets. All of our puppies are raised in the home, well handled and socialized with an emphasis on natural rearing techniques. We are experienced behavioral trainers and use only force-free methods. All of our dogs are purpose bred to closely resemble their breed standard as much as possible with an emphasis on continuing to be able to do the 'work' their breed was originally intended to do, as well as being competitive across a range of other dog sports. We are passionate about what we do, and take our role as caretakers of these breeds very seriously. We brought our 1st Samoyed in 1981 . Had our 1st litter in 1987 after spending several years studying pedigree's & health issues in dogs. Our Samoyeds are a large part of our lives and the reason we brought a rural property 28 years ago for the dogs to run in the paddocks and sleep with us at night. Chance is a gorgeous, sweet, gentle 8m old boy who has had an accident with his tail. He loves being with another dog or his people. I am looking to find him his forever home.
