Summerlea Boston Terriers is a small boutique kennel specialising is producing some of the country’s award winning show dogs. Located on the Kapiti Coast, Summerlea pride our selves on searching the globe to infuse new and exciting show winning bloodlines into our kennels. We are excited about our new imported arrivals and look forward to seeing their off spring. LaFamilia is a small DogsNZ Registered breeder located in Auckland, New Zealand. Boston Terriers have been a part of our lives for 10 years and counting. Our Boston Terriers are family members first & foremost. We strive to breed healthy, correct dogs of good type and temperament, our long term breeding goal is to establish LaFamilia to be a Preservation Breeder of Boston Terriers. All dogs in our breeding program are DNA tested for: JHC - Juvenile Hereditary Cataracts Airway Distress Syndrome (ADAMTS3) Degenerative Myelopathy Additional health testing: Patella (graded annually) BOAS Functional Grading (bi-annually) Heart Echocardiogram Full Ophthalmic Examination We breed selectively for improvement in our breeding program, we believe quality, over quantity.

For NZ'S top winning and dedicated health tested Boston Terriers! Devine Kennels, established around 1985, in conjunction with our other Kennel name "Rossdhu" established in 1974 by my late parents Tania and Barry Colquhoun, have bred and owned All Breeds and Specialty BIS winners and Grand Champions in Whippets and Boston Terriers. In Bostons: We have won BIS/RBIS at 24 of the 31 Specialty shows held by The Boston Terrier Club in NZ - of those, 19 were BIS! A record we are very proud of. We are strict with full health testing for all our breeding stock, that is DNA and physical testing, and all of our puppies are sold with an 8-week eye certificate from Veterinary Eye Specialists. We have bred champions/grand champions in many countries around the world, including Australia, Asia, Hawaii and Scandanavia. Please make sure you sight all health certificates (physical not just DNA) for any Boston Puppy you are purchasing! We have imported semen from top winning, health tested dogs in America, the home of the Boston Terrier and have developed incredible relationships with passionate breeders around the world. All with the same passion to breed quality Boston's that are not only healthy, but fit the standard required. We are proud to be the longest registered Breeder of Boston Terriers in NZ and will continue to strive to better this amazing character of a breed and continue mums' world renown legacy.
