Philip & Paula Semmel [email protected] OUR STORY In 1998 Philip and Paula Semmel were granted the stud prefix Hapipet and had their first litter. This produced the superb Schipperke Grand Champion Hapipet Hobbits Pride. Hapipet uses the ANKC standard for Schipperkes as its breeding target. It breeds infrequently to re-stock. Hapipet Kennels also seeks to demonstrate the ability of the Schipperke to be a canine all-rounder via its involvement in Conformation, Obedience, Agility and Endurance. At Hapipet Kennels each Schipperke is a member of the household, which provides a productive atmosphere for socialisation and the development of excellent temperaments. Philip and Paula have committed themselves to the cause of the Schipperke in Australia, between them serving at various times as President and Secretary of the Schipperke Club of Victoria and the Non Sporting Dog Club of Victoria, and Obedience Instructor and Committee member at Northern Obedience Dog Club. We are pleased to announce the arrival of our litter between Taoiseach The Creature (aka Goliath) and Canemaestoso Black Velvet (aka Gulbahar). This litter comes from a long line of notable Neapolitan Mastiffs, such as Se. Ch. Nero Del Malapensiero (Ita), Ch. Hugo of the Witches Meltingpot (Imp NOR), Ch. Drago Del Robbiano (Imp ITA), Ch. Maggiormente Cupid and Ch. Magnufi Tito. The puppies parents are true and correct to their breed - Goliath weighing-in at well over 85kgs, he is a true specimen. He maintains the physical structure, protective nature and storge / familial love expected. His physical features are second-to-none, with a huge head, great coat, bone density and posture. A truly excellent example of the breed. Gulbahar is a fantastic bitch, who, despite her usually playful and spirited nature, has demonstrated to be an exceptional mother. She has an excellent black / brindle coat, beautiful looking face, great posture and bone density and weighed-in at 60-odd kgs before puppies. She is a fun-loving dog with a huge affection for her family. We currently have two (2) puppies looking for their new homes (grey female, black-brindle female). The puppies are showing excellent traits and would be well suited for the show ring (if you are that way inclined), but most importantly, would make ideal companions.
