At Tirowen we are one of the pioneers in the breed in Australia, having been committed to this special breed for almost fifty years now. Our first Irish Wolfhound was Ch Erindale Fortuna (imp UK) who came to us late in 1972 and since then we have continued to build the breed, importing dogs and semen from leading bloodlines in Europe, the United Kingdom and America. Our hounds are first and foremost our companions, bred to be family dogs. We breed for temperament, health, longevity and type. The fruits of our efforts can be seen in many homes here and abroad - but also in the showring where we have an illustrious history. Tirowen owned and/or bred Irish Wolfhounds have achieved the ultimate accolade in the showring winning 37 Best in Shows at Specialties in Australia. Anne and Francis are both International dog judges and have judged the breed in Europe, the United States, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand at Specialty level. CREENA - We are a small kennel situated in the Adelaide Hills, concentrating on quality rather than quantity. Health and temperament are equally important to us , prior to breeding any of our hounds, they undergo breed screening heart checks from a veterinary specialist cardiologist and are x-rayed for both hip and elbow dysplasia with official scores publicly available on the Irish Wolfhound Database. Our imported bitch, Grand Champion Fleetwood Maureen At Creena is the first Irish wolfhound import to gain the title of Grand Champion, an accomplishment we are immensely proud of and her offspring are winning well in Australia , New Zealand and the UK All the hounds keep extremely fit running on our acreage and some, due to their calm, steady temperament, have been used as service dogs, visiting elderly hospital patients. They are also very devoted to the youngest members of our family; all puppies are given the opportunity to interact with young children whilst being raised at Creena All dogs bred by us have full complete pedigrees with full registered names in every generation

The perfect home for our puppies would be one where they can be included in daily life, whether that be inside or out, and receive regular training and socialization to ensure they grow into a well-adjusted and equally well-behaved puppies. All of our pet puppies are registered with Dog NSW on the limited register, microchipped, vaccinated, vet checked, and have eye clearance conducted by a canine Ophthalmologist before leaving. Our puppies are always raised in our home where they receive regular socialization, desensitization, and stimulation.

Ausdreaming Cant Stop (Scout) has been mated to Skyepark Braveheart (Bear) and the litter will be due on Boxing Day 2024. Scout is a Red Tri and Bear is a Blue merle who is Red Factored, so this litter will have the potential to have all colours. Pups will be reared at home and socialise with mum, and grandfather, aunt and Bandit who is the Surrogate Mum (just loves all pups and has the greatest patience with little ones) For the first 4- weeks of their lives they will be reared inside our home and then they will be introduced to our large outside enclosure complete with visual stimuli and safe and comfortable sleeping area with hay bales and kennels. During the day they will be able to enjoy running around on our 2 acre property. Both parents have excellent Hips, Elbows and eyes cleared every year. Both have been DNA profiled and have been chosen for structure and temperament. Pups wlil be wormed, mirochipped, inocculated and have their eyes cleared prior to leaving our care. The pups will undergo Temperament Testing at 6 weeks to ensure that pups are matched with the perfect Adopting Parents. Pups will be available to go to their new home by the end of February 2025.
