German Wirehaired Pointer since 1978 Our early foundation dogs came from the UK and German imports from NZ,Ostoja (Geoff Oakes) hunted,trained,and trialed the first Dual Champion German Wirehaired Pointer in Australia in 1983, paving the way for future working Gwp's: The kennels going on to produce 25 Aust Champions,Three Field titles & 4 Obedience titles to CDX,from the original imp lines. Recent imports from the UK with strong working lines continues to establish Ostoja as one of Australia,s leading kennels, supplying the dedicated hunting sportsmen both here and overseas with outstanding working stock. The first GWP,s bred in Australia to obtain field trial titles came from Ostoja,these lines have been dominant workers,hunting in all terain over three decades,and continue today working on all types of game. Korskote GWPs (est 1978) have correct harsh coats, correct dark pigmentation keen hunting instinct, great temperaments & most importantly for working and show, excellent conformation. Korskote is a small kennel which only breeds very occassionally.

Domeir aim to produce German Wirehaired Pointers not only with Proven working ability but correct type and temperement. 2007 saw Bastyn gain his Tracking Champion making him a Dual Champion.Track six being graded as Very Good. Rhu Bastyn's mother also started tracking and passed Track Four with Very Good.Not bad for a 9 year old hunting dog . We like to thank Korskote Kennels for breeding Rhu and hopefully she will gain her Tracking Champion giving Kokskote another Dual Champion.

We only keep a small number of quality dogs, all of which are from the finest imported bloodlines for temperament and behaviour. Our dogs are raised in a loving environment and are members of our family - not just dogs. All our dogs are health tested and have had their hip and elbow scoring done with excellent results. They have also been DNA profiled by Orivet Genetic Pet Care and their information uploaded into the national health database. Our puppies are raised within the home and socialised and we undertake DNA parentage testing of pups as required for registraion by Dogs Qld. This guarantees new owners the pups they are getting are from parentage on the pedigree – Dam and Sire.
