All breeding animals are X-Rayed for Hip & Elbow dysplasia & passed through the GSDCA schemes. All our dogs are brought up in a family environment, are part of our family and they come from Australian Champions or German imports. Close connection with some breeders in Europe. Tearmannair is a small kennel dedicated to breeding quality straight backed German Shepherd Dogs (GSD) in the NSW Riverina, Australia and from time-to-time we may have puppies on offer. At Tearmannair we strive for excellence, therefore, each mating is the culmination of of extensive research and consideration to improve the form, function and temperament of our breeding lines. ALL breeding stock have been have been hip & elbow scored and are DNA screened for known health issues within the breed, guaranteeing that we never produce pups that are “affected“. We keep the best prospect of the litter to enrich our lines with the remainder of the puppies offered as pets to suitable homes. At Tearmannair our dogs ARE our family, they are not kenneled instead they are raised as part of the Tearmannair pack. Having only a small number of breeding animals living on a small country property, enables our GSDs to grow, flourish and develop into well mannered companions that are well socialised. Training and socialisation go hand in hand. Well socialised dogs are invariably well-trained dogs and vice versa. Seeking a Loving Forever Home for Vala Vala will be desexed prior to leaving us and will not be available for breeding. Please respect this decision, as any breeding inquiries will be met with a firm no. Vala is wonderful with male dogs and some lower energy females, though she finds cats a bit too interesting, so a cat-free home would be ideal. While she has been around our cat Nigel, their interactions are always closely supervised. Due to her size and enthusiasm, we recommend a home with older children who are comfortable around large dogs. Vala is house-trained, crate-trained, and has basic obedience skills. She loves to play fetch, is highly motivated by toys like balls and tugs, and enjoys an active lifestyle. Though she has been shown in conformation, it’s not her favorite activity - she’d much rather be zooming around or snuggling up, convinced she’s a lap dog. She has been thoroughly health-checked, including hip and elbow scoring (A and Z stamps), and she comes with a clear full breed DNA profile, free from all testable hereditary diseases. Vala is up-to-date on vaccinations worming, microchipped, and recently received a clean bill of health at her annual vet check. We have been asked to help seek a new lifelong home for the gorgeous Fletcher who is now three years of age and has just been spayed. Fletcher has had basic obedience training and is quite good with most commands that are given, he however will need further training to walk nicely on the lead as he currently pulls to get where he wants to go but is controllable. Fletcher is fully housetrained he sleeps in the house and has also been crate trained as well. Naturally he loves to play ball, running freely and swimming. Fletcher has had limited experience with other dogs or pocket pets, livestock. Fletcher would suite a one-person home environment that has had experience with the breed or an adult home environment no children as he is a dominate male. Fletcher is not suitable to a first time German Shepherd owner, he is strong powerful male that needs a strong person to be his leader.
