Our philosophy has always followed the French edict of 'Breeding for the Whole dog' meaning our dogs are equally at home in the show ring as they are hunting or competing in Field & Retrieving trials. Our foundation sire made history as winer of WGAA Vic's inaugural Retrieving trial, by beating a field of 42 dogs, which included 2 RT Champion Labradors, at their own game. Multiple wins by Windkael Bretons in the field have followed on since. With high emphasis placed on our dogs being integral members of your family we strive to ensure their temperament is as important as their hunting instincts & ability. All of our breeding stock are hip scored to ensure physical soundness with only the very best males & females considered for breeding. I am no longer breeding puppies At Rockfire Brittanys my dogs are loved house pets as well as weekend show dogs. Health, Temperament and Conformation are all equally and vitally important to me when planning any mating. All my brittanys used in breeding have been hip and elbow xrayed and eye checked.

We are a small family kennel (American lines) based in country Nth East Vic. We have owned and loved Brittanys since 2016- our first being our beautiful boy ‘Jimmy’- Aust Ch Tobenlee U Take My Breath Away CCD RN ET- who came from renown Vic kennel ‘Tobenlee’- teaching us everything Brittany and we are forever grateful for the guidance. In 2019 along came our next Brittany, our beautiful girl ‘Josie’ - Aust Ch Kirinbell Style n Grace ET - from esteemed Sydney kennel ‘Kirinbell’- who has also been a wealth of knowledge and much appreciated support. We enjoy our Brittanys being very much part of our family including cat- Mia, sharing our home and our daily lives. They enjoy daily walks, drives, - basically anywhere we go they happily come too. On weekends they enjoy dog school and the occasional outings to show, obedience, rally and endurance competition. Being an energetic breed- they are in dog heaven having a run in nearby paddocks flushing out Quail, or running along the shores of nearby Lake Eildon. But just as content to spend a lazy afternoon snoozing on the couch under the air conditioner, or heater- or having quiet snuggles on the bed. Our dogs are hip/elbow x-rayed, also heart and eye certified clear. Being only small - we only breed occasionally, but enquiries are most welcome, either for general Brittany information or for future puppies. We are pleased to advise that Dahlia (Champion Trumps Roadshow) has been confirmed via ultrasound to be expecting puppies late November. Dahlia has had a successful show career, now retired from showing, and lives with her daughter in my home as much loved companion. My dogs are available to meet at an arranged visit time. Temperament is of paramount importance and all dogs excel in this regard. They all live as home companions, not as kennel dogs. Information regarding care, including grooming ( I give complimentary lessons) is always offered. Puppies go to their new homes having been well socialized and with appropriate interactions with toys, and visitors. DNA genetic testing and Hips and elbows testing has been done.
