We have been breeding Basenjis for many years and have an established reputation for breeding quality, healthy family pets and top show dogs. We take the breeding and rearing of basenjis seriously, focusing on the health, temperament and appropriate socializing of our puppies. Glendawn Basenjis are Best in Specialty Show, Best in Show, Class in Show, Best in Group and Class in Group winners. At the QLD Basenji Speciality In 2017, our boy Demon 'Aust Ch Remwin Wildaboutharry' took out the Best in Show. Our dogs have done us proud in the show ring and in their wonderful homes. Their loving temperaments and their steadiness under stress and trying times makes them great home companions and family pets. Prior to breeding, parents are DNA tested for PRA and Fanconi Syndrome as well as hip scored, with all pups being ANKC registered and DNA tested with Orivet to prove parentage. Every new owner is provided with a puppy pack and care package, which includes any additional information and dietary requirements. From two weeks of age, our babies are wormed every fortnight. At 6 weeks of age they are vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and health tested by a registered veterinarian. We implement crate training and desensitisation to other dogs, cats and children. Our pups are handled from a very early age to ensure we raise friendly, inquisitive basenjis and to distinguish their temperaments so we can place them with the best homes possible. Bayenzi Mze Blitzen (Maisy) is 5 months old, full vaccinated, council registered. Lead and toilet trained. Travels well in cars and loves other dogs and children. She was always my favourite puppy girl in my 2024 litter and had planned to show her, but it’s not her thing so we are offering her for adoption. Beautiful Basenji litter born 13/04/2024, which makes these puppies 6 months old. Puppies are pedigreed and registered with the Australian National Kennel Club (ANKC). Free of Fanconi and tested for Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) and PPM. Puppies are desexed and have all vaccinations for 1 year. Ravi is a beautiful 3 year old, tri colour pure bred basenji. He is the most loving affectionate boy and absolutely loves his people. He would suit a family with a well fenced, secure backyard who have experience with the breed. He is definitely not of a breed where he can be be left outside at night. Basenji's are not for everyone so please do your research before making enquiry. They can be willful and have been described as having cat like traits. They keep themselves scrupulously clean and dislike rainy days intensely. This is Maya, she is a red and white 1.4 years old, desexed Basenji female, X show dog, who has an extremely sweet nature. Due to changed circumstances she is looking for her forever home. She would make an excellent companion Basenji. Maya enjoys playing, and gets on well with male Basenjis as her house mates. She walks well on a lead and is not over reactive to other dogs during a walk. She gets on well with older children, people in general, loves hugs. She travels well in a car, doesnt dig holes, and is not a Basenji escapologist. There are a lot of good things to say about Maya...
