Hello There! AASHUDNA is the name behind miniature dachshunds owned by Heather and Mark, located in Scone, in the Upper Hunter, an easy 3-hour drive from Sydney through some beautiful scenic countryside. We pride ourselves on our vigorous health testing, including IVD x-ray screening, of which our beautiful girl Tara received a perfect score of 0, meaning she shows no signs of IVDD spine degeneration. We also perform full DNA testing, including SDMD and PRA Cord 1, and obtain Vet clearance certificates for patellas, eyes, and cardiac health. Our motivation is to breed miniature long-haired dachshunds that fulfill their purpose of bringing joy and companionship to their owners, while exemplifying the breed's attributes and predictability. Our miniature long-haired dachshunds are Aust. Hi there! AASHUDNA is the name behind miniature dachshunds owned by Heather and Mark, located in SCONE, in the Upper Hunter, formally from Penrith we still come to Sydney regularly for work. Through ethical breeding and careful planning of future litters, we aim to preserve the true miniature dachshund with sound health, temperament, structure and movement. We pride ourselves on our vigorous health testing including IVD x-ray screening on our breeding aged Dams, full DNA panels including PRA Cord 1, SDMD. Vet clearance certificates for patellas, eyes, cardiac and thyroid. Our motivation is to create miniature dachshunds who fulfil their purpose of bringing joy and companionship to their humans, as well as being good examples of their breed by having the attributes a dachshund should have.
