We got our first Manchester Terrier in 2006 specifically for agility, and she didn’t disappoint, going on to win agility, jumping, obedience, rally and conformation titles. Another Manchester later followed, and another. We were hooked. In 2016 we decided we needed to step-up and do more for the breed we loved, so we sat and passed the ANKC Breeders Exam and Cathasaigh was born. Two years later our first litter was on the ground. We have owned/showed/trialed 11 Manchesters from 6 different breeders, including Kazkei, DOGCT, Windypark and Cathasaigh to various conformation/performance titles. I have been showing dogs for more than 39 years. I started casually in the late 1970's with a Boxer. 1985 was when I started showing consistantly spending 11 years showing my beloved Pugs with great success, 2 years with Cairn Terriers successfully, now Manchester Terriers for 24 years. I love this breed and have enjoyed much success with 56 home grown Champions, 5 of these became Grand Champions as well as 2 have gone on to become International Champions thanks to Hilda Hammer & Kristin Aukrust of Norway and Claire Murphy of Ireland. I have titled a Southgate and Baghasdail boy 2 Gallifreyan's as well as 3 Windypark Manchester Terriers, the later was my foundation. I take a great deal of pride in the fact that my dogs have consistently proven themselves in the show ring as well as obedience and agility. Now my team are enjoying lure coursing. ChDixiedaly Time L Tell JC has attained his Junior Courser Dual tracking Grand ChDixiedaly Jack Black CCD RM AD JDX JDO SD ET and GrandChDixiedaly True Heart CCD RE TD AD JD SD campaigned by Di Costello are very good examples of what can be achieved in both disciplines. Great ambassador's for the breed. I have worked hard to keep my dogs true to type very proud of their good temperaments.
