In 2009 our family fell in love with Truffles and the Italian Truffle Dogs, Lagotto Romagnolo. Follow our facebook page 'Athelas Lagotto - ACT / NSW' and share our journey. All our puppies are clear by parentage for genetic disorder and their parent’s hip and elbow scores are within the breed standard. All our puppies go to their forever homes vet checked and socialised with children and other animals. Our Junior Truffle Hunters will also be exposed to truffle scent and truffle play. All our dogs are proven truffle hunter and we are confident their puppies will be too! We have carefully chosen our breeding lines to ensure our dogs are a beautiful combination of gentle, social and curious. Our girls are delightful gentle natured and love to be around people and to play and snuggle with kids and adults alike. They are also incredibly intelligent, curious and energetic and loves to hunt for truffles. Our apologies to those looking for new companions, our wait list is currently quite long and we will likely re-open our wait list in mid 2025. Aquibella is a Sydney based Kennel run by myself, Athan Lathouras. I am a new breeder but am very lucky to be mentored by the highly regarded Judith Nolan of Incavale. My experience with Lagotto Romagnolo began in 2017 when I acquired Voltaire from Incavale. He is a well mannered white boy that I took to immediately and nicknamed Aquila because of how majestic he is. We spent many good moments together as a duo but I ultimately made the decision to add a female to our family and in 2020 Urianna was welcomed into our home, her nickname is Mirabella. She is a smaller chocolate girl with a bit more cheekiness which balanced Aquila's maturity out perfectly. In between work trips, I fulfilled all the requirements to become a registered breeder and after waiting enough time for Mirabella to grow the two of them finally mated in June of 2023. I feel very blessed to have a foundation litter of seven beautiful healthy pups and am looking forward to continuing down the path of a breeder and working to produce the best and healthiest pups possible. Maggie is our first Lagotto Romaglo and has been part of our family for 6 years now. During this time we as a family, have learnt so much about this precious breed. Maggie has amazed us with how true, to the original breed temperament and type she is. Maggie has a colourful and well balance personality and is truly one of the family. During my time studying animal behaviour, Maggie was used for many conditioning video's and class demonstrations, she not only helped me achieve top marks but she has proved her self to be worthy as a therapy dog.

We are delighted to announce the anticipated arrival of Lagotto puppies from ‘Sara’ and 'Teddy'. We currently have a white male available offering him for sale at $2500. Here at Rustufarion we are committed to the health of our breeding dogs and understand the importance this has in raising genetically healthy puppies. Our lagottos have been screened for the known and genetically testable disorders evident in the Lagotto. Screening breeding animals prior to breeding will ensure these preventable disorders do not affect your puppy from Rustufarion. Further health checks of our breeding dogs includes screening for Hip Dysplasia. We do everything possible to produce puppies with sound temperaments and confirmation and this has been factored into the selection of a suitable sire for these puppies. For this reason we also raise new born puppies in our home where they receive constant supervision, attention and interaction within a busy home. During the first weeks we focus on raising our puppies within a warm environment and commence neurological stimulation. Our puppies are pedigree registered with Dogs NSW as well as being vet checked and vaccinated, microchipped and come with 6 weeks of puppy health insurance.
