We imported the very first AKC Miniature American Shepherds as the MAS was not recognised by the national kennel council until our hard work paid off July 26th, 2022. Our program focuses on producing soundness, type and temperament all true to our Breed Standard, testing for everything as it becomes available and choosing the best of our show and breeding prospects to go forward with. We have been involved in Australian Shepherds for over 20 years and now proudly a part of Team Jenzsa Miniature American Shepherds and work collaboratively with a group of like minded breeders. We take pride that we don't just breed fantastic family pets but also put in the extra effort to test our dogs' soundness of mind and body against the breed standard by actively competing in sanctioned ANKC events both in the conformation ring (show ring) and performance ring (i.e. herding, agility, lure coursing, etc). This is in addition to DNA testing, annual eye examinations and hip and elbow scoring that our dogs undergo PRIOR to any breedings taking place. I have loved and admired "Miniature American Shepherds" for over 30 years, and it has always been on my bucket list to import and breed these beautiful dogs here in New Zealand. It is a long and expensive process to import these dogs from USA - do all the genetic testing + Hips Elbows and Eyes, I now have some beautiful foundation dogs to begin my lines of Miniature American Shepherds. I bought my first dogs for New Zealand in 2018. All my dogs are AKC registered MAS. I have a co-home breeder in Australia as well. We share 7 imported USA dogs. Puppies available
