Aamurusko Finnish Lapphunds are home to NSW’s top Finnish Lapphunds - with the DOL breed winner (Salla), rising star (Sanna), and neuter (Loki) winners for 2023 all belonging to us. We are a small kennel but are fortunate to have incredibly beautiful, well adjusted, and successful dogs.

We located in NSW close to Canberra, and are home to three lappies. We also have two of our dogs in co-ownership homes, and a stunning import boy arriving from Sweden in 2024.

We fell in love with the breed several years ago. Breeding was a long term goal, and seemed like the natural progression of our obsession with the breed. They are an amazing breed - smart, gentle, loving, athletic and beautiful.

We are active in conformation showing, dog sports, and therapy dog work. We enjoy being involved in the NSW/ACT dog community and are always happy to have a chat and introduce people to our beautiful dogs. Our dogs are cherished family members. In order to provide each of them with the attention and quality of life they deserve, we will be keeping numbers small and will breed sparingly and selectively.

The care our puppies receive, and the support we provide our puppy families, is truly second to none. Our first litter are now spectacular young adults we are so proud of.

We aim to breed puppies that are true to type and fit for function - with a focus on health, structure, and temperament. We have a litter due September 2024, and one litter planned for 2025.

I place most puppies with owners and families who live within 3 hrs of our farm in South East Queensland. This is broadly South to Byron, West to Toowoomba and North to Noosa. Some distant placements may be OK for experienced or breeder homes, so if you think you might be fantastic lappie owners, don't be shy about reaching out.

About us:

We were dog-free busy professionals for 20 years. Then in 2016 we realigned our priorities and bought an old farmhouse. Two gorgeous Lapphunds joined the family. We've never looked back.

This is a superb companion breed but definitely not for everyone: a well-chosen puppy would fit well into many different family and home settings provided you really know what you are buying! We hope to breed healthy, temperamentally friendly, sound, trainable and breed-typey dogs.

Zuleika is a boutique Finnish Lapphund kennel situated in Northern Tasmania. As our only breed, our dogs live in our home as part of our family, sleep on our beds, and enjoy two acres of rural land to frolick on. We are home to Tasmania's show history-making Finnish Lapphunds, Benni & Liina, and our matriarch Fleur. Active in the FL community, we are members of the Finnish Lapphund Club of Victoria, Lappalaiskoirat ry (Finland), and Southern Finnish Lapphund Society (UK).

We breed selectively, producing puppies that are sound, healthy, and happy. Our puppies are born and raised in the home, where they welcome visitors, become accustomed to household noises and enjoy lots of cuddles. We use Puppy Culture protocols to ensure they are given the best possible start to life and join their new families as well adjusted young dogs. We welcome enquiries regarding puppies for companionship, show and sports. As a boutique kennel, we also rely on families who a willing to allow their Zuleika baby to be a part of our breeding program. All puppies come DNA tested for relevant hereditary diseases. We are very excited to announce the safe arrival of our litter from our homebred girl Sanna (Ch. Aamurusko Anna of Arendelle AI) & Olaf (Sup Ch. CIB A2O Ch. Snofyre OMG Oh What Kaos JC) - four girls and one boy, all black and tan.

We are looking for one special, local guardian home, with all other puppies spoken for at this time. With the divine temperaments of both parents, we also expect puppies suitable for life as family pets. Both parents are gentle with children and other dogs.

We expect puppies to grow to be beautiful and typey. Both parents have been proven in the show ring & have performance qualifications behind them. We expect drivey puppies with a good work ethic, however both parents have an “off” switch and when they’re not working are both massive cuddle bugs.

Whitefrost is expecting puppies! Nukka x Gromit Due: Sept 30th Ready for pick up: Late November

Nukka (Theldaroy zero in on me) is our affectionate, intelligent and friendly wolfsable girl. With a successful showing career to date, she has been awarded Australian Champion and the highest grade of 'Excellent'. Nukka loves being a part of the family from hiking and camping to cuddling on the couch.

Gromit (Deerlane Light The Fuse Gromit) is an active wolfsable boy who is keen to join his family on any adventure or new activity. He participates in agility, sprint dog trials and conformation. He is quick to pick up new tricks and commands, especially when there's treats involved. When he is not hanging out with his doggy pals he loveees to snuggle with his humans, particularly if there's tummy rubs on offer!

Both parents have had all the recommended breed testing & full embark testing (you can learn more about them on our website!).

Possible colours for this litter: Wolfsable, Cream and Black and Tan.
We are expecting friendly, intelligent puppies that will have a range of low - medium drive.
