I purchased my first Border terrier in 2005, back when borders were even less common than they are now. I was first introduced to the breed working as a veterinarian in UK. They are awesome, robust and friendly terriers. There is a good reason they are popular vets dogs. My dogs are a much loved part of the family. I breed occasionally and have quality pups available from time to time to approved homes. The pups are vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, SLEM tested and come with a lifetime of free veterinary advice. I love to stay in contact with the owners of my pups and get updates on how they are going. Having always loved the Border Terriers, Oscar is our first of many I am sure. He is the constant and loyal companion of Miss Emily, who just adores him. He has everyone wrapped around his paw.

We have bred Pointers for 40 years, and Border Terriers for 20+ years, living in rural Canterbury N.Z. Pointers hold a special place in our hearts, but Lyn always wanted a 'country terrier' and eventually settled on the Border Terrier. Two main things attracted her to Borders, their easy-going temperament and ability to peacefully co-exist with other dogs. Border Terriers are now our main breed. We are lucky to have had the help of several people over the years with our breeding. First of all the late Robert Bartram, ("Craigend", NSW Aust) who sold us our first Border in the year 2000. He had a lifetime's experience in Borders, knew all the important breeders in the UK, and always was willing to help us. Joy Wangler ("Kalan" Ballarat, Aust). Joy was kind enough to let us use her highly successful import Aust Grand CH & Fin & NZ CH Foxforest One for the Road (Jesse). This enabled us to breed our Ziggi (Ch.Barton Theta) who was both a successful sire and a winner in the showring. Using our Jesse frozen semen we recently bred our Carlos (Ch.Barton Blues and Twos). "Sage" is the matriarch of our Borders, a daughter of the lovely "Jorja" and all our current Borders descend from her. Breeding true to type Border Terriers with the correct temperament suitable for all disciplines. We have bred & shown terriers for the past 30 years with great success. Many thanks to my long time friend Gaela Whyte (Bohunt Borders, Melbourne) for allowing us to have her beautiful dogs here as our foundation.

Five puppies due 15th February. Pups will be ready for new homes mid April. Pups will have vaccination, microchip, worming, 6 weeks free pet insurance, puppy pack and a lifetime of free veterinary advice. Puppies will be available later in January 2025, to approved owners. Will be vet checked, inoculated & wormed, micro-chipped, carefully raised as recommended by 'Dogs NZ' (formerly NZ Kennel Club) Breeders Code of Conduct. All enquiries welcomed.
