At Hunterhound we have taken well over 14 years painstakingly researching bloodlines/pedigrees & networking with mentors in various countries to ensure we have imported lines that are sound in both temperament & health. Our foundation bitches have been imported from top Bloodhound breeders in Sweden & Belgium & semen has been carefully selected from outstanding dogs in the US....all this to help expand Australia's very limited gene pool. We ensure our breeding dogs are Hip & elbow dysplasia cleared with scores well below breed average, hearts cleared by cardiologist & DNA tested for Degenerative Myelopathy (DM).

At Hunterhound we are breeding for outstanding prospects in the show arena, lazy lounge lizards in pet homes, plus what these dogs were bred for, 'tracking' & 'man trailing'. A quality Bloodhound can be all of these! All our dogs are pets, first & foremost, they are allowed in the home & sleep inside. They all run together as a 'pack' and are NOT kept kennels/runs.

We expect these puppies will have excellent conformation, beautiful markings and are already very active at such a young age. All this is to be expected given their parents pedigree.

Both parents are very active with high drives, so a home that is active and involves their pup in every day life is a requirement. Parents have all health certificates (hips & elbows scores, mouth and eyes, full DNA profiles).

People that know Rottweilers will be familiar with names like Clyde vom Tanneneck, Rocky vom AllNatal, Guardstarz Quinta, Ercas vom Kinzigtal, Bluelady vom Checkpoint Charlie, Max vom Turnlegerg, Bullweih vom Schandpfahl. These great dogs among others, are littered in these puppies pedigree!

Puppies will have all health requirements performed at appropriate age including regularly dewormed, vaccination and microchip (microchips have been reserved with our vet), Dogs Victoria limited registration pedigree papers (full pedigree can be arranged for select homes), and lifetime breeder advice.
