TAZLON

We have owned and shown Welshies since 1991. We were taken in by the breed because of their wonderful personalities, they live life to the full, nose to the ground and tail wagging at full speed, they are excellent swimmers, and enjoy spending time with their people.

We have been breeding Welsh Springers under our Tazlon prefix since 1997, aiming to breed sound, healthy puppies true to type. We continue to expand our gene pool introducing new lines from within Australia, Sweden, the Netherlands, U.K. and America. Our Welsh have competed successfully in the show ring at All Breeds and Speciality shows. They have also achieved obedience, tracking, agility and gaming titles, and most importantly make wonderful family members.

RADIANTMIST

Photo of 3 generations - Taliesyn who is a Multi in show and group winner, imported from NZ from the Nantyderi Kennels. At the tender age of approximately 13 years he won a Speciality Best in Show under the well known and respected Gundog Specialist Stephanie Rickard. He is now enjoying retirement on that high note and providing guidance to his progeny.

Tia- Tal's daughter, also an in show and in group winner is about to return from maternity leave.

Treasure (AI) - the new addition to the family from Tia and Statesman Spectacular Bid (USA) has already won a few Baby in show and group and will be giving her best to achieve greatness and will try and better the results her mother and grandfather have been able to achieve.

MYCROFT

Mycroft is a small kennel located at Lower Portland, near Windsor NSW. My love affair with Welshies began in the 80's when I saw 2 dogs imported into Australia by Scott & Eira Taylor (Nantyderi) from New Zealand.
At the time there were only a few of the breed in Australia, so to further my knowledge of this beautiful breed, I decided to go to "Crufts" in the UK were I could see the breed in numbers of over 400 with outstanding depth of quality.
I have had the opportunity to visit & meet some of the breeders of the best Welsh Springer Kennels in England, Scotland & Wales & see some of the best Welsh Soringer Spaniels in the world.
I believe that the best dogs come from the UK & we breed to the UK Breed Standard.
Over a period of time I have imported 4 dogs from the UK including an English Show Champion from one of the top kennels there.
My most recent import, Supreme Champion Bushwacket Hot Pursuit via Highclare (UK) "Chase" is a Multi Best in Show, All Breeds winner.
I travel regularly overseas to go to shows in both England & Europe & as a Licenced All Breeds Judge, have judged the breed in many countries of the World & also give the Breed Lecture for the Conformation Judges Training Scheme for Dogs NSW.
My dogs are Best in Show winners, Runner Up Best in Show winners & Multi Group & Class in Show winners & most importantly of all, a joy to live with.
All stock are hip & elbow scored & eye tested.

FEATHERDALE

Featherdale Welsh Springer Spaniel Kennels was established in 1988 and resides in Goulburn NSW.
Welshies have been a part of our lives for over 30 wonderful years. During that time we have achieved amazing success, while only showing sparingly. We have bred Best of Breed winners of the Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra Royal Shows, as well as winning 3 times Best in Show at the Welsh Springer Spaniel Club NSW. Winning multi Best in Group and multi Classes in Show & In Group awards and our beautiful Delilah won BEST OF BREED AT 2016 SYDNEY ROYAL EASTER SHOW beating an impressive line up of past winners.
We are a small family kennel which only breed occasionally. Our breed pool, to date, incorporates Champion English bloodlines with a blend of impressive New Zealand and American lines.
We strive to breed to the UK standard with our Welshies having beautiful rich red & white coats, strong, but elegant heads, and wonderful reach & drive. All our dogs, of course, are health checked.
Most importantly, our Welshies are all a big part of our family and we could not image life without them.

Breeders of Welsh Springer Spaniels since 1989 at Laugharne Kennels we believe we are not so much a kennel but a "tapestry" and every dog and owner is a precious thread in their own right. We have added new threads to our breeding "tapestry" by importing semen from Sweden and Finland. Our aim is to breed healthy dogs with good temperaments whilst remaining faithful to the breed standard. All our dogs are hip and elbow scored and eye tested and are raised in our home environment. WELSHSTAR

We have been involved in the Dog World for the past 28 years. I started out with Obedience then Tracking and Conformation, first with Rough Coat Collies, Coolies and then with German Spitz. I then had a break to have children before I found what for us is the perfect breed, and that is the Welsh Springer Spaniel. I can't see us ever having anything else as a breed. They are a joy to have part of the family. Great with children and ready for any active family. They are a gorgeous looking, active, intelligent breed with quite an easy coat to care for with minimal trimming. Being active and smart they need a daily walk and run and an activity to occupy their brains, then they are happy to chill out with you at home. Being medium size, clean and people orientated they are perfect to join in with all your family activities. Caring about the breed as we do, all our Welshies are health tested before being selectively bred so as to maintain the health of and improve the breed. Puppies come raised with love in the family and are Vaccinated, Microchipped and Vet Health checked.

AUSSPRING

We are a small kennel based in Melbourne where our dogs are part of our family. Our family consist of two adults, two children and three fur babies. We have been involved in the Welshie breed since 2013, but Rebecca has been around dogs all of her life. The dog breeds Rebecca has owner are Dobermans, Rough coated collies, Fox Terriers, Jack Russell terriers.

Here at Ausspring Kennels we love nothing more than to spend time with our fur babies weather that be Showing, Tracking, obedience training, bush walking or at the beach swimming. Our Welshies are first and foremost our loving and loyal companions in life.

We aim to breed Welsh Springer Spaniels with beauty, intelligence and soundness of body and temperament.

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have three beautiful Welsh Springer Spaniels (Ryan, Lexie and Ellie). They are wonderful companions, who love joining in with everything we do.

We have been keen agility competitors since 2009. Agility is a lot of fun for both the dogs and owners, and we enjoy competing for titles or just having fun training our dogs.

Our dogs have demonstrated the versatility of Welshies, always willing to have a go at something new. They have competed successfully in shows, agility, rally-o, and recently added scent work to their activities.

We will only breed occasionally, when we are looking for our next agility/show Welshie. Our aim is to breed Welshies with soundness in both health and temperament, whilst remaining true to the breed standard.

We have no litters planned for 2023/2024, as we will be concentrating on competition.

TRENZALORE

The beautiful Red & White Spaniel from Wales was added to our family in mid 2009: BIS RUBISS Aust Ch Smarty Frodo des Vauriennes (Imp Netherlands) was a gift from Debbie Meagher (Goldmaid) & came to be a companion to my girls - please visit his profile in the inactive section, or on the Trenzalore or Goldmaid websites. He returned to showing as a 9 yr old neuter & successfully completed his Neuter title as a 10 yr old. He was Number 1 Neuter Gundog Qld 2014 (DOL pointscore) as well as No 1 Neuter WSS in QLD & Australia 2014. We welcomed a new welshie to the Trenzalore family in Dec 2015, a beautiful little girl "Stevie": Ricochez Gerwyn Saffir (AI), daughter of the late great Oscar (Sup Ch Shandwick Raffles) & the lovely Emily (Gr Ch Sarabande Sea Of Dreams), both UK imports.
For half of 2017 we welcomed Goldmaid Way Too Cool (AI) to our show team - another great Welshie from Debbie at Goldmaid. We had such a great time having 'Presto' on the Trenzalore team & he returned home with multiple fringies & a Championship title!!!
So given our success with 'Presto', Debbie kindly loaned us another ripping young dog 'Ziggy' Goldmaid The Game Begins for our 2018 ag show season & we also sent him home a Champion & Best of Breed Winner at the 2018 Brisbane Royal Show!

2022 sees the Red & White return to Trenzalore for a showcation in the form of Esspree Maid Of Gold - Piper, - another little girl friend for Stevie to talk Welsh with

ALCLARE KENNELS est 1976. We are a small family kennel, we have exhibited and breed Irish Setters and Collies in the past and then fell in love with Welsh Springer Spaniels, we purchased our first bitch in 1990 and from then on there has been no looking back, and couldn't imagine life without a welsh.

DAIONI

Owned by my first Welsh Springer in 1984 I fell in love with the breed. Such a beautiful family dog in every way.
Daioni Kennel's aim is to breed sound Welsh Springer's in Structure and temperament.
Most importantly all dogs in the Daioni kennel are health tested with documentation available for viewing.
Health testing includes: Hip, Elbow Scored and Eye Tested, including testing for predisposition to produce Glaucoma.

JJ as he is known has had success in the Show ring as a young dog and continues to mature into a truly lovely representative of the written standard for this breed.

WYNION

Wynion is a relatively new prefix, however I have owned welsh for most of my life. Currently owning 1 neuter bitch and her 2 daughters, my mum and I get them to shows when possible. However, they are our family members first and foremost.

As such, they have proven to have wonderful agility, and amazing gentle natures being raised with orphan lambs, calves, horses, chickens, guinea pigs and kangaroos. Myffy in particular has always loved baby animals of any species and is a very sweet soul with babies and children. Seeking out their company, and sitting quietly with them.

At Frecklewyn we believe that welsh springers are not just beautiful - they are also excellent dog sport competitors and all-round wonderful companions.

Our foundation bitch, Ch Mycroft My Bridie ,is currently competing successfully in Obedience and Rally, and has started training in Tracking and Retrieving. Bridie is also outstanding at demanding pats and cuddling on the lounge!

MAESGWYN

We are a small kennel 47kms from Melbourne and our mission is to breed healthy puppies that are true to type and temperament thus preserving the breed for future generations.

We have been involved with this wonderful breed since 1999 and are very fortunate that our foundation dog and bitch came from Plattwood Kennels and Laugharne Kennels - from US and Swedish lines. We have imported semen from three Benton dogs (Finland) in partnership with Laugharne Kennels to help expand the blood lines in Australia and help us achieve our mission.

We are very proud of the positive impact our dogs have had on the breed in Australia.

All our dogs are hip and elbow scored and eye tested prior to breeding and litters are carefully planned and pedigrees researched. Our dogs are our companions first and foremost and shows are secondary and we appreciate that most puppies will be companions in a family environment. Several of our dogs have achieved Tracking titles - a sport which comes naturally to them.

Puppies are raised in our home and are socialised with friends and family and our own adult dogs in preparation for their new families and we take great care in matching puppies to owners and their lifestyles and offer ongoing support.
