DANA

Dana Kennels was established in 1974 with our first Welshie joining us in the early 80s. Our three boys took her everywhere with them on the farm and she was their constant companion, she was also shown and achieved her Championship Certificate. Over our long history with this lovely breed we have bred and shown Nationals Winners as well as agility dogs, working gun dogs, and of course many loyal family companions. Our first imported Stud dog came from the Slyvkin Kennels in Australia when we were lucky enough to see the litter and select our lovely boy Rhett 'NZ Ch Slyvkin Gwillym' over the years we have had three lovely boys from this Kennels and we are grateful to Sylvia and Bill for the privilege. We were among the first kennels of any breed in New Zealand to test our breeding stock for any problems of a hereditary nature and have continued to do so. We sometimes have puppies available to approved homes.

RADIANTMIST

Photo of 3 generations - Taliesyn who is a Multi in show and group winner, imported from NZ from the Nantyderi Kennels. At the tender age of approximately 13 years he won a Speciality Best in Show under the well known and respected Gundog Specialist Stephanie Rickard. He is now enjoying retirement on that high note and providing guidance to his progeny. Tia- Tal's daughter, also an in show and in group winner is about to return from maternity leave. Treasure (AI) - the new addition to the family from Tia and Statesman Spectacular Bid (USA) has already won a few Baby in show and group and will be giving her best to achieve greatness and will try and better the results her mother and grandfather have been able to achieve.

MYCROFT

Mycroft is a small kennel located at Lower Portland, near Windsor NSW. My love affair with Welshies began in the 80's when I saw 2 dogs imported into Australia by Scott & Eira Taylor (Nantyderi) from New Zealand. At the time there were only a few of the breed in Australia, so to further my knowledge of this beautiful breed, I decided to go to "Crufts" in the UK were I could see the breed in numbers of over 400 with outstanding depth of quality. I have had the opportunity to visit & meet some of the breeders of the best Welsh Springer Kennels in England, Scotland & Wales & see some of the best Welsh Soringer Spaniels in the world. I believe that the best dogs come from the UK & we breed to the UK Breed Standard. Over a period of time I have imported 4 dogs from the UK including an English Show Champion from one of the top kennels there. My most recent import, Supreme Champion Bushwacket Hot Pursuit via Highclare (UK) "Chase" is a Multi Best in Show, All Breeds winner. I travel regularly overseas to go to shows in both England & Europe & as a Licenced All Breeds Judge, have judged the breed in many countries of the World & also give the Breed Lecture for the Conformation Judges Training Scheme for Dogs NSW. My dogs are Best in Show winners, Runner Up Best in Show winners & Multi Group & Class in Show winners & most importantly of all, a joy to live with. All stock are hip & elbow scored & eye tested.

AFONDERI

We are a Mother and Daughter team who whelped our first litter in November 2009. We are situated on a dairy farm in the Waikato and believe that all dogs should be allowed to get dirty, to chase rabbits and enjoy life in all its fullness. We aim to breed happy, healthy best friends who can turn their hand to whatever is required of them. Whether it's hunting in the field, playing with children, showing off in the ring or cuddling on the couch. Our foundation bitch Ch Brynmor Red Enchantress of Afonderi (Tess), is a Best of Group winner, multi class all breed class in group and multi speciality class in show winner. Her son, Ch Afonderi Armed N Red E (Horus) is a Reserve in group winner. Her daugthers, Afonderi Red E Maid (Monkey), is a multi speciality class in show and multi all breeds age of group winner. And not to be left behind, Afonderi At the Red E (Bridie) also is also a multi all breeds age of group winner. Bridie's daughter Bryndoain Playin-it-cool with Afonderi (sired by ENG SH CH Kazval Bandito is a multi speciality class in show winner. Jasper (Afonderi St. Elmo's Fire) has joined our show time part time and we have been fortunate enough to have had MYCROFT MOUNTAIN ASH sent to us (in partnership with Bryndoain kennels) from Aust by her breeder Sylvia Brackman. We are looking forward to another exciting year with our adorable loveable collection of best friends.

FEATHERDALE

Featherdale Welsh Springer Spaniel Kennels was established in 1988 and resides in Goulburn NSW. Welshies have been a part of our lives for over 30 wonderful years. During that time we have achieved amazing success, while only showing sparingly. We have bred Best of Breed winners of the Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra Royal Shows, as well as winning 3 times Best in Show at the Welsh Springer Spaniel Club NSW. Winning multi Best in Group and multi Classes in Show & In Group awards and our beautiful Delilah won BEST OF BREED AT 2016 SYDNEY ROYAL EASTER SHOW beating an impressive line up of past winners. We are a small family kennel which only breed occasionally. Our breed pool, to date, incorporates Champion English bloodlines with a blend of impressive New Zealand and American lines. ESSPREE

After 28 years of owning English Springer Spaniels we are proud to bring back the Welsh Springer Spaniel to Perth's dog show scene with Australian Champion Goldmaid Perfect Storm from the prestegious Goldmaid Kennels NSW. We are very grateful for the opportunity to be able to own such a lovely girl as Holly, with many Group wins, Class in Show wins and a Runner up in Show. 2014 saw the arrival of Holly's first litter, Sired by Aust Champ Maesgwyn Duke of Marma producing the very successful dog Supreme Grand Champion Esspree Perfect Honour and his sister Australian Champion Esspree Perfect Ruby.

BRYNDOAIN

Bryndoain is the longest established Kennels for Welsh Springers in New Zealand. We purchased our first Welsh "Bryn" from the first litter in NZ,in late 1977. He went on to become the first NZ Bred breed Champion. We then imported from the Northey Kennels to establish a healthy genetic base for the breed,then continued throughout the years with exchanges from Australia, and using stock imported from UK. Always rurally based,our present kennels are situated on a small block surrounded by stream, swamp and bush in the western Waikato, a perfect backdrop for happy active Welsh to hunt rabbits and birds. Breeding stock are carefully monitored for genetic health. All inquiries are welcome from prospective pet, hunting or show homes. We provide new owners with extensive help and hints with their new family members. These happy active Welsh are also great at agility and tracking. Two of our Bryndoain dogs are now employed to hunt out Argentine Ant pests in NZ, safeguarding our Port of Auckland from this invasive pest. LAUGHARNE

Breeders of Welsh Springer Spaniels since 1989 at Laugharne Kennels we believe we are not so much a kennel but a "tapestry" and every dog and owner is a precious thread in their own right. We have added new threads to our breeding "tapestry" by importing semen from Sweden and Finland. Our aim is to breed healthy dogs with good temperaments whilst remaining faithful to the breed standard. All our dogs are hip and elbow scored and eye tested and are raised in our home environment. WELSHSTAR

We have been involved in the Dog World for the past 28 years. I started out with Obedience then Tracking and Conformation, first with Rough Coat Collies, Coolies and then with German Spitz. I then had a break to have children before I found what for us is the perfect breed, and that is the Welsh Springer Spaniel. I can't see us ever having anything else as a breed. They are a joy to have part of the family. Great with children and ready for any active family. They are a gorgeous looking, active, intelligent breed with quite an easy coat to care for with minimal trimming. Being active and smart they need a daily walk and run and an activity to occupy their brains, then they are happy to chill out with you at home. Being medium size, clean and people orientated they are perfect to join in with all your family activities. Caring about the breed as we do, all our Welshies are health tested before being selectively bred so as to maintain the health of and improve the breed. Puppies come raised with love in the family and are Vaccinated, Microchipped and Vet Health checked.

AUSSPRING

We are a small kennel based in Melbourne where our dogs are part of our family. Our family consist of two adults, two children and three fur babies. We have been involved in the Welshie breed since 2013, but Rebecca has been around dogs all of her life. The dog breeds Rebecca has owner are Dobermans, Rough coated collies, Fox Terriers, Jack Russell terriers. Here at Ausspring Kennels we love nothing more than to spend time with our fur babies weather that be Showing, Tracking, obedience training, bush walking or at the beach swimming. Our Welshies are first and foremost our loving and loyal companions in life. We aim to breed Welsh Springer Spaniels with beauty, intelligence and soundness of body and temperament. We have been keen agility competitors since 2009. Agility is a lot of fun for both the dogs and owners, and we enjoy competing for titles or just having fun training our dogs. Our dogs have demonstrated the versatility of Welshies, always willing to have a go at something new. They have competed successfully in shows, agility, rally-o, and recently added scent work to their activities. We will only breed occasionally, when we are looking for our next agility/show Welshie. Our aim is to breed Welshies with soundness in both health and temperament, whilst remaining true to the breed standard. We have no litters planned for 2023/2024, as we will be concentrating on competition.

We are a small family kennel, we have exhibited and breed Irish Setters and Collies in the past and then fell in love with Welsh Springer Spaniels, we purchased our first bitch in 1990 and from then on there has been no looking back, and couldn't imagine life without a welsh. DAIONI

Owned by my first Welsh Springer in 1984 I fell in love with the breed. Such a beautiful family dog in every way. Daioni Kennel's aim is to breed sound Welsh Springer's in Structure and temperament. Most importantly all dogs in the Daioni kennel are health tested with documentation available for viewing. Health testing includes: Hip, Elbow Scored and Eye Tested, including testing for predisposition to produce Glaucoma. Breeding stock are carefully monitored for genetic health. WYNION

Wynion is a relatively new prefix, however I have owned welsh for most of my life. Currently owning 1 neuter bitch and her 2 daughters, my mum and I get them to shows when possible. However, they are our family members first and foremost. As such, they have proven to have wonderful agility, and amazing gentle natures being raised with orphan lambs, calves, horses, chickens, guinea pigs and kangaroos. Myffy in particular has always loved baby animals of any species and is a very sweet soul with babies and children. Seeking out their company, and sitting quietly with them. I endeavour to encourage my puppy owners, as well as any other breed enthusiasts to get out there and have a go in the show world. Myffy has now started several juniors, and has numerous children and grandchildren also out and about rocking it! It's been a privilege to also begin organising meetups, and sharing the welshie love from all breeders. Working alongside like minded people to improve the breed and it's health is my goal. FRECKLEWYN

At Frecklewyn we believe that welsh springers are not just beautiful - they are also excellent dog sport competitors and all-round wonderful companions. Our foundation bitch, Ch Mycroft My Bridie ,is currently competing successfully in Obedience and Rally, and has enjoyed introductory training in Tracking and Retrieving. Bridie is also outstanding at demanding pats and cuddling on the lounge! We believe that any breeding program should seek to produce dogs of excellent temperament, conformation and health. We are particularly concerned with reducing the risk of inheritable diseases, and thus ensure all relevant health tests have been done prior to breeding.

NANTLLE

We bought our first Welsh, Alfie (Bwgan Llwyd ar Nantlle), in 2006 in the UK. He was shortly followed by Ryan (Ch Coedybrain Ryan ar Nantlle) in 2008. Nantlle Kennels was then established. Both boys were shown at Crufts, gaining places in the breed, with Ryan a winner in the Gamekeepers classes – we worked him on a pheasant shoot each winter. We moved Alfie and Ryan to New Zealand in 2016, and Ryan’s daughter Sammy (Ch Llon Llaeth Y Gaseg ar Nantlle) joined us in 2017. We lost Alfie, then Ryan (old age) so we were joined by Kristy (Ch Bryndoain Uptown Girl) from the Bryndoain Kennels. Ryan, Sammy and Kristy have all been shown and made up to Champions. From our first litter we kept Gwenno, the offspring of Bear (Kylowen Drym, Ryan’s grandson) and Kristy. We health test all our dogs when used for breeding.
