We are on the Lower North Coast of NSW 2 1/2 hours north of Sydney and we are dedicated to breeding Tenterfield Terriers of true type and excellent family friendly temperaments.

Our dogs are proven in the show ring and raised with love in our home. Puppies and older dogs are sometimes available to loving homes.

We are proud to say that we have bred over40 Champions to date including 4 Grand Champions and our dogs have been proven in the show ring and in dog sports and have had significant wins at shows in 4 states at Tenterfield Specialty (BIS, RUBIS & Classes in Show) and All Breeds Shows (BIG & RUBIG and Classes in Group).

GUMHAVEN

I am small select kennel, specialising in Tenterfield Terriers. My aim is to breed sound happy healthy pups, bred for type and soundness. I also put quality over quantity. My dogs all run together and temperament is paramount. I have been showing at Dogs SA since the breed’s acceptance into the ring in 2002. Gumhaven owned and bred Tenterfields have won Groups, many class in groups, BISS's, and Royal BOB's and class in group.
My Kennel is clear of PLL and CHG and all breeding dogs have all been patella checked.
I have been in Tenterfields for over 40 years although they were originally known as Miniature Fox Terriers.

RANGEAIRE

Lucas, a natural bob tail (NTB)came to live with us aged 10 months. Since then he has won 6 Best Exhibit in Specialty Show, a dozen other all-breeds and Specialty Best in Show awards, plus many Best in Group awards and is Victoria's only Grand Champion Tenterfield Terrier. Lucas is also currently the only Tenterfield Terrier in Victoria to hold an Earthdog title NE, proving he has the ability to perform the job for which he was bred.

Lucas is a popular stud dog in Victoria, having sired some 15 litters. Among these 10 Champions from 9 different bitches already have attained the title of Australian Champion in 4 States, and one Flyball Champion.

'Rangeaire' comes into Tenterfield Terriers with considerable experience, having bred some 80 Champion Airedale Terriers in direct line. So, the decision to 'downsize' to Tenterfields was not taken lightly! With the addition of two bitches, we aim to selectively breed to establish correct breed type and balance within this breed. This includes consolidating an esthetically pleasing tail length, making full use of the natural bob tail gene that naturally occurs in this fascinating, recently recognized Australian breed.

TENTELLA

We breed 'small dogs with big hearts'
We are a small kennel that is passionate about breeding for the future of the Tenterfield in health, conformation and temperament.
We are not always active in the show ring, preferring to concentrate on enjoying our dogs on our property, with friends or promoting the breed on the road as we travel in our caravan to other States in Australia. We take our girls with us and they are very popular wherever we go.
We have three generations at home but will focus our breeding schedule on our two youngest girls - all being well!
We have produced 6 Australian Champions to date with puppies going to homes in Victoria and other states.
Our extended 'Tentella' family keep in touch and send photos of our babies so we can see them grow up and become the personalities and companions that make them so special in their lives.
My husband and I were involved with the Tenterfield Terrier Club of Victoria myself as President and Tony as Treasurer / secretary where we we proudly held these positions for 4 years. We resigned last year 2014 after 9 years on committee feeling it was time to let the reins go. I am still a member of the Victorian Club but now hold the role of President 2024. Also been a member of Dogs Victoria for over 18 years.
It is our joint goal now and into the future to continue to promote and support the breed in all ways.

NUDIMAH

At Nudimah Kennels we are proud of our quality Tenterfield Terriers. We are located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of Queensland, overlooking the Glass House Mountains. Our dogs are reared in a rural environment with lots of loving family involvement. We breed for Temperament, Type and Soundness without loosing the attributes of a Terrier.

We have been breeding our Tenterfield Terriers since 1990, after many years on the Development Register, our breed was finally recognised by the ANKC and we commenced showing our dogs in June 2002 at all breeds championship shows. Since that time we have had lots of fun and much success in the ring. Our Show Team has had many successful wins in Queensland, NSW, ACT, WA and SA.

CHARBON

I have a small select kennel based on the Sunshine Coast. I have been breeding and showing dogs for over 35 years (Tenterfield Terriers for over 15 years).
I strive for quality healthy Tenterfields.
Charbon Kennels has had great success in the show ring with Best in Show at specialty shows and Runner up Best in show at a recent National show. Many Best of breed wins at Royal and all breed championship shows along with many class in group and show wins.

My foundation bitch was the first Grand Champion in QLD (Grand Ch Fernlodge Super Sarah)
Breeder of the second & third Grand Champions in QLD (Grand Ch Charbon The Duke and Grand Ch Charbon Chase The Ace)
Both are sons of Grand Ch Fernlodge Super Sarah.

All my Tenterfields are DNA tested for hereditary diseases.

NUYARAM

If you are looking for a loving breed of dog, go no further than the Tenterfield Terrier. They are bright, outgoing, loyal and bold.

Most of us are familiar with these plucky little Australians. Whether belting downhill in a billy cart, catching a Frisbee or sitting curled up in your lap. The Tenterfield Terrier is a big dog in a little body, a terrier with attitude.

The Tenterfield Terrier is popular in both the country and the city. It is a very adaptable dog and will be as happy on a farm as it is in the city.

Tenterfields adapt to most situations, from a houseful of noisy kids to a more indulgent lifestyle with older adults. Most make good companions for older people living alone, being small and placid enough to hold in your lap.


For champions and little mates come and meet a Nuyaram Tenterfield Terrier. I breed quality terriers for type and temperament and they are reared in a family environment. Puppies are sometimes available.

I have had Mini Foxies as a part of my life for as long as I can remember and have moved into Tenterfield Terriers in the last few years after receiving help from some wonderful breeders. I’m in very good company.

Our dogs live on our acreage with us and are a huge part of our family, and very much loved. They’re used to being around farm animals such as horses, goats, and chickens. They’re also used to being around our children and will therefore suit a family home.

ARDCHATTAN

Ardchattan is only a small, but very select kennel, breeding for quality rather than quantity. In breeding to the standard, conformation, movement, attitude and temperament is paramount. All ArdchattanTenterfields are PLL & CHG clear.

I have had a long association with the breed. My parents having bred Mini Foxies for over 20 years whilst I was growing up and I have invariably had one since.

In the past, over the years, I have had a significant interest in the genetics of breeding, Stud Cattle, Arabian Horses,Rottweilers and now Tenterfields. It was only natural then that in retirement I would again be drawn to breeding dogs again. In the last few years I have spent considerable time on the road, visiting breeders, researching the breed and the various bloodlines. To my minds eye, I have been attracted to and have incorporated the bloodlines of Skalawag, Nudimah, Gumhaven and Tenerello. My current litter of pups, which incorporate these lines, have vindicated those choices.

I take this interest very seriously and derive a great deal of pleasure from it. In limited showing Ardchattan has had success in Best in Group, Class in Group, Best of Breed and Challenge wins.

Skalawag Oh So Debonair (Chip) is tragically no longer with us.

Our new sire Renaylbysh Hes A Winner (Finn) is proving to be a worthwhile replacement. His progeny have been well sought after.

I got my first Tenterfield Terrier when I was 12 years old and have loved the breed since I got my first registered Tenterfield 2019 and started showing ever since.
