Shemshi Ridgebacks are based on a 145 acre Red Devon Beef farm in the Waimata Valley, Gisborne.
Established 24+years ago in the UK, I immigrated with three generations in 2007. I am planning a second litter with Shemshi Tamela due November 2023.
My litters are born and raised in the lounge to maximise their socialisation.

Parents are health tested, hip and elbow scored for dysplasia, DNA tested for Degenerative Myelopathy, Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy.

Your puppy will come with:
1st health check & vaccination. (including checks for Dermoid Sinus)
Wormed every 2 weeks from 2 weeks of age.

We will always take back a dog we have bred if for any reason the owner is unable to keep him/her. In October 2024, I had honor and privilege to judge over 300 Ridgebacks over 3 days at the RR Club of the USA National Show in Salt Lake City. This is the first time an Australian has judged this show since its inception in the 1950s. At Zenridge we strive to breed Ridgebacks of sound temperament and health. Following a decade of owning Rhodesian Ridgebacks and falling in love with the breed, we have taken the next step with our newest Ridgeback Nala, attending conformation shows and receiving her Champion Title in late 2023. We were in awe seeing how our beautiful Nala and her exceptional temperament developed as she grew, hence our journey to conformation showing and breeding. We are in the process of establishing our kennel with our first litter being anticipated later this year.
