Marandela Rhodesian Ridgebacks we are situated on 10 acres in the beautiful Bonville Valley, just south of Coffs Harbour, NSW. Our foundation dogs Ch Chilolo CBA Ruby Image(AI)ET RUBISS and Ch Chilolo MCR Tao on Fire(AI) ET. TD BISS were bred by widely respected Ridgeback breeder/International judge Rosemary Green. Marandela's first litter produced Ch Marandela Saltwater Pearl(AI) who thrilled us by winning Baby Puppy in Show at the National RR Show in Brisbane 2014. Ruby's 2nd litter produced Ch Marandela Wot Happens in Vegas who won Best in Show at the Victorian Rhodesian Ridgeback Specialty 2019. Our dogs are Conformation Champions, have Tracking titles and dabble in Lure Coursing and Agility. Puppies are raised on a premium diet, in a healthy environment with plenty of space for supervised exercise/play. They are regularly checked for dermoid sinus, Vet checked,microchipped, vaccinated, wormed regularly and well socialised prior to going to their new homes. We follow Puppy Culture Protocols. We strive for type, temperament and soundness, our dogs are hip and elbow scored, screened for Degenerative Myelopathy(DM), Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy(JME), Heart certified by a Cardiologist and screened for Early Onset Adult Deafness (EOAD) We support puppy buyers for the life of the puppy. At Schlau we are a small, select kennel with Rhodesian Ridgebacks being our second breed. We have been breeding and showing dogs since 1978 and purchased our first Rhodesian Ridgeback in 1995. Since then our family has grown as as we strive to improve the breed with a select breeding program. All puppies are raised on a natural diet, with children and plenty of room to exercise as they grow and develop. Puppies occasionally available to loving, appropriate homes. We would like to thank all at Lionveldt, Kipsigis, Jedazar and Chilolo for our sound foundation stock and continued support over the last 25 years.

We have breed involvement for over 20 years. Starting with a couple of pets in 1998. With a love for the breed, Uberidge was established in 2010. In 2007 we where so fortunate to aquire 2 lovely show bitches, with a veiw to show and potentially breed. Umkimzulu Lastin Impreson aka 'Imali' and Vanridge Asami aka 'Boo' we are forever grateful to have had these 2 girls in our lives. They are the foundation of all that is UBERIDGE today. We have also been very fortunate to have used some wonderful dogs along the way, and we are grateful to those stud owners who have entrusted us. We sometimes have puppies available to approved homes. We do have available delightful, friendly, sweet temperament, quality female puppies with excellent ridges ready for their new homes. They have had 2 sets of Vaccinations, micro chipped, fully wormed, registered with ANKC. Both parents are hip and elbow x-rayed grade A. DNA health tested for genetic diseases both clear non-carriers. Our puppies are raised in the home. Temperament and health are a priority. Reluctantly, I am looking for a new forever home for my gorgeous Zuri (Australian Ch Rijstone Wyndrunhrs Rubys Gift (AI)) She is 6 years old, fit, trim and very healthy, has recently had a litter of pups and been desexed. She has a big outgoing cheeky personality. She is used to being with other ridgebacks and has lived inside and outside but now prefers to be inside and being amongst daily family life. She will either need the company of another ridgeback or people who are mainly home. She is very affectionate and craves attention. She is crate and toilet trained. She loves going for walks. She is excellent with people and children and may ok with other breeds of dogs if introduced slowly. No cats and Zuri has never been around one. Having made a decision as to which of my gorgeous boys I am going to go on with from my last (after 40 years) Ridgeback litter, I am making Doc (Isilwane I Am The Future) available for sale. He is a 12 month old very handsome Liver nose boy, from fully tested parents. He has been rotating between my place (semi rural) and a good friend's (suburban surrounds), he is lead trained (slip collar and lead - no harnesses), crate trained, house trained, socialised with lots of other breeds including his Staffy girlfriend Millie, whippets, German Shepherds. He has also been shown with success (happy to consider someone who'd like to bond with him and take him out again - he doesn't like to be rushed). He is very well behaved in the house and was easily taught the boundary of the kitchen when goes on his visits, knows what "on your bed" means and loves bounding onto the bed in the morning for a smooch. Good with kids. Hasn't been around cats. He would do really really well with a companion but also fine if on his own with great humans in his life. This is not a rescue/rehouse situation. He is for sale and we have put a great deal of time and effort into making sure he has the best training (as has his brother) ready for when I made this decision. He is up to date on worming and vaccinations. Happy to do the move to a new home over time with visits and sleepovers to acclimatise him to a new home & family.
