Established in 1979, we continue to produce happy, healthy hounds suitable for all facets of family life, with emphasis on soundness and temperament. We currently have 3 RR's (along with 4 Whippets) in residence. All our Ridgebacks are Xrayed for Hip & Elbow Dysplasia prior to breeding. They have also been DNA tested for Degenerative Myelopathy (Clear) , JME (Clear) & Early Onset Adult Deafness (Clear) and Heart Checked Clear with Richard Woolley (Cardiologist). Our puppies leave home vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and with an Information Booklet. ANKC Licenced Judge - Group 1 (Toys), Group 3 (Gundogs), Group 4 (Hounds) & Group 7 (Non Sporting)

Bartess kennels have been involved with Rhodesian Ridgebacks for over 30 years. We do not breed on a regular basis, only when the time is right and we are seeking a Ridgie to join our pack.
