We have now been involved in Shiba Inu for 10 years, having bred and exhibited several BEST IN SHOW winning Shibas across Australasia. Our Shibas are from imported US, UK and Japanese lines. We breed only when we are looking to keep something for ourselves, so relatively infrequently. Puppies are sometimes available to the very best of homes.

We at Tsukiyo Shiba Inu are doing our very best to breed Shiba Inu for the conformation show ring. Importing many quality shiba lines, following the standard written by ANKC and aspiring to the standard put down by Nihon Ken Hozonkai

Every shiba we have has been health tested to a very high standard. We are very proud of our breeding program and have produced some stunning puppies for us to show and for our families to own as great examples of the breed.

Our babies are raised in our home, well socialised with our children and cat! They are exposed to lots of socialising environments and trained to sleep in crates from 6wks old. Begin toilet training with different trays and mats indoor. Also outdoor on grass from a young age! Lead trained and some puppies have had lots of show training also. We believe that helps in raising a more rounded shiba.

Akakumo Kennel have owned and shown Shiba Inus for several years. We are also registered kennel with Japanese Dog Preservation Society (Nippo). We closely follow the Japanese Nippo breed standard and have been mentored by experienced Nippo breeders over the past a few years.
