Our three Vizslas are delightful, much loved family members, enjoying life with us on our rural property. They are extremely active, playful and affectionate. We breed infrequently, ensuring they maintain a high standard of health and a good quality of life.We have three generations to view.
We raise our pups in a combination of indoor and outdoor settings and are deeply committed to providing them with a safe, happy and stimulating environment to ensure they have a gentle and affectionate nature. We breed to achieve a dark russet gold colour, medium size, deep chested pups with great temperaments.

All puppies are sold with a Limited Register Pedigree, are vet checked, vaccinated and wormed, microchipped and come with a puppy info pack. Puppies are sold to approved homes only and we are happy to provide ongoing advice and support once the pups go to their new homes. We keep you up to date regularly with photos of the pups as they are growing until they go to their new homes.

We are based in the Southern River.. Aiming to provide multipurpose and multitalented vizslas but most importantly loved family member. Our foundation Vizsla, Baci - Ch. Asuare Dancing InTheMoonlight shows promise in and out of the show ring. She has done well in Scentwork, obtaining her Scentwork Novice title. She started trialling in Agility in 2022 and in 2023 she got 3rd place in Novice Jumping at the Agility National Championship. She has also obtained her Junior Courser title. We have kept her son from our first litter, Maverick - Gyoztes Danube Dancer who is showing promise in both the show and performance rings just like his parents. We welcomed 4 puppies in October to Popo (Baci’s sister). All puppies are sold. The All Round Companion Hunter - Breeding for Soundness, Temperament, Working and Show.

My dogs happily go from sleeping on the bed .. to swimming the widest river .. to searching out feather or fur game .. to strutting their stuff in the show ring .. and back home to be lap dogs and loved pets! They have also successfully competed in agility, obedience and field trials.

My involvement with Vizslas began in 1990. A growing dedication to the breed has seen me set out to learn as much as I can. This includes joining international lists and discussing the breed with people around the world, traveling to different countries to see other dogs, importing semen and starting a national breed newsletter.

My dedication continues with an education campaign to help new people understand the breed and give an idea about breeders responsibilities. This is supported by articles I have written and had published, web pages, a VizslaNZ yahoo list and a booklet I have written on the subject (booklet available by email – just email me and ask or go to http://trader.co.nz/dogtrain/articles.htm to read this and some of my other articles).

It is exciting to see ‘my’ dogs earning their keep with the hunters, enjoying themselves in competition activities, prancing around the show ring and, most importantly, becoming loved and trusted family members for so many people.
