HISTORY - The Prazsky Krysarik, or Prague Ratter, is a rare breed with a history dating back to the 8th century. Originating in the Czech Republic, these dogs were once cherished by nobility & royalty, often gifted to foreign rulers as symbols of diplomacy & friendship. Initially favoured for their elegance & agility in royal courts, Prague Ratters later became popular among commoners for their rat-hunting skills.
TEMPERAMENT - Known for their intelligence, ease of training, and affectionate nature, Prague Ratters are agile, quick, & display natural nobility. They are slightly reserved with strangers but incredibly loyal & friendly within their families, thriving on human companionship & involvement in daily life. Gentle, curious, and loving, they are ideal companions for all ages.

We are registered, responsible breeders, and prioritize the health and wellbeing of our breeding girls. We engage the two professionally qualified Queensland AI Canine Vets, from AI breeding to birth. Our family veterinarian friend provides continuous monitoring of mum and the puppies wellbeing, undertakes vet checks and administers vaccinations. Our litters are an indication of the younger age of our breeding girls, and the care and attention provided to our puppies. We have not failed any puppies in our years of breeding.

Feeding is carefully managed to ensure the safety, health and that the puppies are given the best start to life. Weaning is transitional, so that mum maintains a close bond with her puppies.

Our puppies are clear of hereditary diseases, wormed, microchipped, vaccinated & papered.

We do not breed only for colour, but form and temperament, and have utilized Frozen Semen AI, to introduce the required genetic qualities that we promote in our dogs.
