Health testing is of the utmost importance and every puppy that leaves to go to his forever home is supplied with full health test results on: MO, JDCM, GM1, EOPRA, PRCD-PRA, HIPS, ELBOWS, CDDY/IVDD and OPTHALMIC EYE EXAM CERTIFICATE from both parents. Arcticpalace have been involved with Portuguese Water Dogs for approx. 15 years now. We were the proud owners of our very lovely Foundation Portuguese Water Dogs. aquiring our first "Roque" starting out in 2005 and "Raquel" our second purchased from Dassin in Qld. (the founders of the breed in Aust)and are the 2 youngest Grand titled Porties in Australia. Roque - BIS GR CH Dassin you Beta Believe it our Brown & White Wavy boy, Grand titled at 19 months of age and was a Best in Show winner before he turned 2yrs. Raquel - Gr Ch Dassin Perfect drift(ai)Grand titled at 2yrs,4 months months, she is our Black & White Curly girl (first curly to live and be exhibited in NSW) Our other 2 that were part of our foundation were "Pedro" and "Annie" all who are sadly no longer with us passing of old age from 11+ to 14+ years. An ancient breed, used by Portuguese fishers to work off boats, these dogs have adapted fabulously to life in Australia both in the water, and in locations without such.
