Welcome to Howlincreek terriers where we endeavour to breed the best “True To Type” Parson Terrier, using imported bloodlines going back to the original type bred by Reverend John Russell himself. We have been involved with Parsons for over 40yrs back when people just called them leggy jacks and we love the energy and character of this terrier. We have owned some of the early known names of working Parsons in Australia such as, Kapaldo, Swampfox, Foxalla, Foxmoor and even descendants of Bohunt.

Dalsue has now added Parson Russell Terriers to our home. Our beautiful boy Aust Grand Champion Jacklands Dallas is available at stud to approved bitches.

We are a small Kennel who have been breeding pedigree dogs since 1969. Living close to Ashburton NZ our dogs enjoy a farm lifestyle where they can run freely off the lead and enjoy themselves. We pride ourselves for breeding puppies with a low co-efficient inbreeding percentage achieved by importing expensive genetics from the UK and Australia. Our puppies are healthy and have well balanced temperaments making them excellent companions for active people/families.

I have been involved with Parson Russell Terriers since 1995. My foundation stock is all from the UK and include some very old and influential bloodlines for example Howlbeck, Hoelio and Ridley. I have dogs with all 3 coat types and pride myself on the exceptional quality of my smooth coat dogs. All my breeding stock are BAER hearing tested, eye checked including DNA testing for PLL, DNA tested for LOA and SCA and many of my foundation dogs have been hip/elbow scored. We strive to breed terriers true to breed type with sound conformation and good temperament.

All our pups have excellent markings and temperaments and will be sold with papers on the limited register. We are a small rural breeder and all our pups are very well socialised. They are raised on our farm with small children, chickens, horses, cats and pet lambs. Woombye Border Collie pups are wormed every two weeks and will be vaccinated, microchipped and vet checked for health before leaving for their new homes. The parents have tested free of the border collie diseases and have low hip and elbow scores. All puppies come with a food and information pack. Weekly updates are given along with friendly advice. We have babies! All our puppies are brought up in the home from the moment they arrive and until the time they leave. They are wormed from 2 weeks of age and will be vaccinated and microchipped. They are brought up on premium kibble and fresh food. They come with a great puppy pack to get you started. Yes we send interstate and internationally at your cost. Starlitt dogs is excited to announce the pregnancy of our girl Indy. Indy will be a first time mum with full genetic testing and fantastic hip and elbow scores. She is a beautiful soul who loves human affection. Indy has great versatility having trained in obedience, rally, agility and herding. She has also had a few trips around the show ring and collected her first points. Indy has been mated to an absolute super star of a border collie. He loves competing in agility just as much as sitting in front of the tv to watch his favourite shows. He loves everyone he meets and is a pure gentleman who has also passed all of his genetic and physical testing. We are excited for this litter as they have the potential to be a beautiful combination of eagerness to engage in a range of dog sports, while also being equally happy being included in your daily life. Due to colour combination of these two dogs there is a chance of black and white or blue and white pups. Puppies will be raised around other household pets and 3 loud and energetic early primary schoolers, eager to play and socialise these pups to a range of sounds and sights. We are now taking expressions of interest in our one and only litter for 2024. We welcomed 3 boys and 3 girls with pups ready to leave for their new homes early 2025. The Sire of our little ones is Merrinda As Long As You Love Me and the Dam, our Aust Champion Beecee Dolls Got Style Both parents have been DNA tested, hip and elbow scored and undergone ACE eye testing prior to breeding and have wonderful bold temperaments. Our puppies are raised using Puppy Culture techniques which includes basic toilet and crate training and we send our puppies home with a generous puppy pack. We are excited to announce that Austin (Ch Trucharm Man of Mystery) and Sienna (Trucharm The Edge Of Love TD TSD) had a gorgeous litter born on the 12 November 2024. 4 Black and white girls, 1 black and white boy and 1 red and white girl. Both parents are DNA profiled and Hip scored. Their temperaments are delightful (with both being snugglebugs). This is a repeat mating of the 2022 litter, which produced Sean, Tiffany, Connery and Jemma - who are excited they are big brothers / sisters.
