MAGYAR

Breeding since 1995. Pups go to pet homes and some do obedience, hunting and showing. We show lightly and have 2-3 litters per year. Our dogs have good hip scores. We have taken 8 puppies through to Australian Champion and 2 through obedience to Open level. Our pups are raised in the house until 4 weeks, then move to a large shed with our other dogs. For 25 years we lived at Gordon near Ballarat. In 2022, we moved to Nagambie in north central Victoria. Here is a comment from a recent buyer 'He's an angel, such a smart cookie. It feels like he almost understands every thing. He is just absolute perfection'. We love this breed but it is not for everyone. Vizslas are very active and want company all the time. They don't do well left alone during the day. It is best to have someone at home during the day. Buyers should be prepared to exercise daily and to spend a lot of time with the dog. Vizslas also like another dog for company and will do best if you already have a dog. You can get an idea about the breed by looking at facebook Vizsla pages, but pay attention to the negatives and the positives. Some dogs can be anxious and develop separation anxiety and barking. If you have kids, wait until the youngest is 5 years. Check the Hungarian Vizsla websites for information on the breed. Hungarian Vizsla Club NSW has great information. Kaposvari Kennels have been breeding Vizslas for 20 years. We are members of Dogs Victoria & the Hungarian Vizsla Club of Victoria. We have owned and bred Vizsla's since 1991 with our foundation bitch Klerhunt Sugarloaf Creek (Kiah). Our dogs have always been first and foremost family members. Our current relatives to Kiah are Kuparr, Jyana and Mischka who have excelled in obedience with Jyana and Kuparr gaining their Aust. Championship and Endurance titles. All our dog are keen to please, easily trained and enjoy the company of children, adults and other four legged friends. CALABRESE

We have been breeding vizslas for over 10 years. I have been hunting for 40 years with many different breeds. I fell in love with vizslas and I got my first vizsla Lara 13 years ago in 2011. Lara was a great hunting dog, hunting quail and retrieving ducks. We said goodbye to our dear friend in early 2022. She gave me great pleasure and enjoyment when I went out hunting. Lara was wonderful at home with the family and very friendly. She was like velcro. She was bred from international hunting blood lines and show lines. To replace her I started breeding. The photo is Marley one of Lara's pups which I kept. I also kept a daughter Lexi. To keep the strong hunting lines, I imported a bitch Xena from a US hunting kennel. Xena has been mated and is pregnant and expecting pups early December 24. Xena is a small vizsla. The father is a medium dog so the puppies are likely to be small to medium when grown. We have been vizsla owners for the past 20 years and believe they are the most wonderful breed imaginable. We live on a rural property in Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria where our vizslas enjoy farm life. Our dogs are keen stalkers of wildlife and love swimming. They are extremely active, playful and affectionate. We are infrequent breeders of high quality vizslas. We follow the breed standard and focus on breeding for affectionate temperament, instinctive ability and correct conformation. Our vizslas are from the superb Agasvari bloodline and we aim to breed for true Hungarian looks and conformation. A potential vizsla owner must be prepared for daily exercise and spending a lot of time with their new companion as vizslas love being with you. Established in 1976, Graebrook is world renowned for Fox Terriers and Hungarian Vizslas. Blashadon Hungarian Vizslas is a boutique kennel with the goal of carefully planned matings to improve the quality of our Vizslas! I have grown up with the breed and have 25 years' breed experience. I spent many of my early years attending dog shows with my parents (Michael and Sandra Stuart), and have assisted them in the Abbiestar breeding program, helping to whelp and raise puppies, train dogs, assess homes and generally benefit from their four decades of highly recognised success and experience. About 12 months ago, I commenced my handling journey and have played a vital role in preparing, training, trialling and titling two dogs: Australian Champion Abbiestar Luca Von Pillersdorf ET and Australian Neuter Champion Abbiestar Aix En Provence ET. I believe that the Vizsla should be a well-rounded dog, able to perform in several disciplines and will continue this with all my dogs. 2025 should see me commence the Regalstars breeding program, again under the watchful eye of my parents with their full support and blessing. My chosen mother of the first Regalstars litter is fifth-generation Abbiestar bred. I will be breeding for quality over quantity, and she will be bred with a carefully selected stud, to help produce conformationally sound Vizslas with great temperaments.
