We are small family run kennel. We have had Vizslas for over 7 years. Our dogs are part of the family, have sound temperaments, suited for pet or sport homes, as long as their genetic needs are met and understood. They have had the required breed testing.

You can see us at confirmation shows. We are enjoying competing and training for scent work and training for tracking trials.

Addenhund (“noble hound”) vizslas are elegant, intelligent, cooperative and fun. My vizslas are valued family members, interwoven in my life, living in my home, friends with my friends, and regularly out hunting, swimming and adventuring with me in New Zealand’s varied landscape.

I breed selectively, focusing on preserving the breed’s special characteristics of versatile hunting prowess and excellent temperament, underpinned by good health and structure. Every breeding is a carefully considered one, sometimes with top genetics from overseas, to produce quality pups with potential to be high performers in hunting and other activities, and who will bring their people many years of enjoyment.

My pups get the best possible start in life, born in my home, raised by happy healthy mothers, and then introduced to quality raw food and increasing levels of stimulation and activity on our lifestyle block. I follow a programme of neurological stimulation; exposure to various sounds, sights, smells, textures and tastes; socialisation; and introductions to deer hide, hooves, game feathers on a string and ducks. I devote my time to rearing healthy pups, with stable temperaments who are actively curious, responsive and resilient. Natural hunting ability and temperament is considered when matching pups to homes.

CH Vizslavari Galadriel RN. produced beautiful litters in Nov 2021 & 2023, resulting in our Cobber CH Aranybajnok Aussie Gem Seeker (From 2021 litter), achieving his CH title at only 10 MThs of age, gaining many class in group wins and Minor Puppy in Show at Palmerston Gundog Specialty Show 2022. "Cobber" is available to stud to approved bitches only.
We began with Our foundation bitch CH Kaposvari Emmylou ET. (2004) produced winning offspring from her first and second litter. Including Intermediate Dog Melbourne Royal 2009 (CH Aranybajnok Bitter Beer), CH Aranybajnok Good one Alf (NT) Best of Breed Royal Agricultural Society of the NT, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and Darwin Royal 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, CC 2017 (CH Aranybajnok Hunt Master) and Aranybajnok Bird Lady, Puppy in Show at Perth Royal 2007. CH Aranybajnok Smokin Gold. We aim to breed quality dogs in temperament, health, drive and conformation. We only breed to maintain and/or improve the breed, and wait until 3 years of age to ensure maturity, health etc. Our dogs are a loved part of our family. Our Stud (on ice) CH Aranybajnok Hunt Master CCD. RA. ET. JD. had an excellent temperament and was responsive to our grandchildren and visitors.He was also used, very successfully, in the DEPI Program, being a great ambassador whilst teaching children to be safe around dogs.

Our journey with Hungarian Vizslas started 15 years ago, when we brought our first Vizsla, Lexie (Erdos Chilli Calypso) into our family. We were immediately captivated by their intelligence, energy, and affectionate nature. As we learned more about the breed, we discovered their rich history and heritage, and we were hooked.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of owning and loving several Vizslas, each with their unique personality and quirks. Our breeding program was born out of a desire to share this joy with others and to contribute to the preservation of this magnificent breed.
At Goldchief, we’re committed to breeding Hungarian Vizla's that excel in every way physically, mentally, and temperamentally. We believe in breeding dogs that are true to their heritage and dogs that conform to breed standard.

Whelped on the 26th May and will be ready for their new homes 28th July at 9 weeks old. The puppies will be Vet checked, micro-chipped, wormed and up to date with vaccinations.

This litter is registered on DogsNZ and will come with papers for each. Papers for the Dam and Sire are available for viewing.

Dam: Our beautiful "Brockville the Only One" aka Pip was bred out of her show champion "CH Brockville Ko Weaver Te Awa" and Sired by "Silvertons Hunts with Fire".
Sire: "Oakburn Petra" aka Otis was bred from "Kynoch Frainetto" and Sired by "Hunts Souths Matata Charmer of HIVIZ".

We are expecting these puppies to be exceptional in conformation and have excellent hunting and companion abilities. These puppies have a low COI with Dam being 0.78% and Sire being 2.87% - These Puppies have exceptional genes and come from generations of excellent hunting lines.

We have a lifestyle block with a variety of animals and 4 children so the puppies will be well socialized and handled.
