Gunpoint Vizslas have been members of Dogs Victoria since 2022. We fell in love with the breed and its versatility; While we don’t show our dogs we throughly enjoy using them in the field for retrieving and a companions on the farm. Established in 1976, Graebrook is world renowned for Fox Terriers and Hungarian Vizslas. Consistently breeding for type, temperament, soundness and health, we are very proud of the success our dogs have had in show and performance, but above all we are proud of those that are simply much loved family companions. Following years of success with Terriers, our first Vizsla joined us in 1990 and we have continued to breed and show successfully across both groups. We have bred hundreds of Australian Champions; multiple International Champions; and numerous Supreme and Grand Champions, and multi titled dogs. Our Vizslas have won more Best in Shows (Specialty) than any other Vizsla breeder in Australia. Over the past 10 years our Vizslas have won the majority of the Dogzonline Breed Challenge Pointscores, and are VIC and NSW Club Pointscore record holders for the most years won consecutively. In 2023 our Fox Terrier (Wire), Bungee was the No. 1 show dog amongst all breeds in Australia. In 2021, 2022, and 2023 we were awarded Best Breeder in Australia for Fox Terriers (Wire) and Hungarian Vizslas by Dogzonline. We have spent a lifetime dedicated to the future of our breeds. We have been breeding vizslas for over 10 years. I have been hunting for 40 years with many different breeds. I fell in love with vizslas and I got my first vizsla Lara 13 years ago in 2011. Lara was a great hunting dog, hunting quail and retrieving ducks. We said goodbye to our dear friend in early 2022. She gave me great pleasure and enjoyment when I went out hunting. Lara was wonderful at home with the family and very friendly. She was like velcro. She was bred from international hunting blood lines and show lines. To replace her I started breeding. The photo is Marley one of Lara's pups which I kept. I also kept a daughter Lexi. To keep the strong hunting lines, I imported a bitch Xena from a US hunting kennel. Xena has been mated and is pregnant and expecting pups early December 24. Xena is a small vizsla. The father is a medium dog so the puppies are likely to be small to medium when grown.
