Our involvement with the breed has included obedience, showing and breeding. We are breeders under the "Babenberg" prefix and abide by the German Shepherd Dog Council of Australia Breed Improvement Schemes and the German Shepherd Dog Club of S.A. GEWALT

Gewalt Kennels are based in the Adelaide Hills. We have a small number of top quality, select animals. Our dogs are a major part of our family, and interact daily with our children and each other. They have a couple of acres in which to run and play, and it's a race each morning for the dogs to get out of the house yard and into their 'play' areas. All of our adult dogs (ie any of our dogs used in our breeding program) have passed any and all possible breed specific health and genetic testing available, be it compulsory or optional. We breed registered purebred dogs, each of whom has a pedigree that goes back many generations. Our puppies and dogs are family first, show and breeding dogs second. They DO NOT live in kennels, but in our home. As a registered ANKC breeder, we abide by a code of ethics and are answerable for our dogs' health and welfare. VONGOTHAM German Shepherds is a small breeder based in the Adelaide Plains, SA. We have put our whole heart into VONGOTHAM, this is our life and lifestyle that has now gone on for generations from my father and great grandfather in Holland. We adore the German Shepherd breed, it is all we know and can’t wait to build our own community here with our own beautiful pups and families. As the owner of VONGOTHAM we put on social gatherings, walks or BBQs so you can meet and play with your puppy’s siblings and see the other dogs we have bred and plan to breed. The VONGOTHAM breeding program only has 2-3 litters a year with both the sire and dam passing hip and elbow scores. Our puppies are raised on our 3-acre farm with small children and in a loving happy environment. We breed for temperament and obedience, having a young family I do believe if you have a well-mannered and well-grounded dog it is most important, and you can build from there.
