Amblebrook exhibit their dogs at Championship shows regularly through the year, with much enjoyment and success, we are proud of all our dogs.

We travel regularly to keep informed of our Breed world wide and spend lots of researching and learning, it is a never ending quest and adventure to always be educating ourselves, and keeping up to date with all things Newfoundland, Health issues and breed lines in particular.

All dogs that we intend to breed from are health tested for hip and elbow displaysia, we also screen for cystinurea, results available on request.

We always strive for the best when breeding our Newfoundlands, Breed Type, Health, Soundness, Substantial Newfoundlands, with Beautifully Sweet Natures, to the Breed Standard. We breed for ourselves firstly, and as a result we have Puppies available to Breed educated,
knowledgable approved loving homes.

At "Ebbenglade" we breed only occasionally , specialising in quality black & brown newfoundlands exhibiting the hallmark beauty, gentleness & intelligence of the newfoundland. Newfoundlands have been a big part of our lives since the early 1980's with many Show Winners,Champions and Obedience Title holders owned by us or carrying the Ebbenglade prefix. Ebbenglade Newfoundlands is situated two hours west of Melbourne Victoria, where each litter is loving raised within the home with the family. On our property, our newfies share their kingdom with our alpaca herd, finnsheep and peacocks. Our dogs enjoy obedience work, showing and above all being "couch potatoes".

We are passionate believers in the benefits of raising litters in alignment with the Puppy Culture program, and follow the protocols and recommendations as closely as we can while still catering to each puppy and litter as individuals. We begin with ENS from their first week of life. They begin heading out for car rides at around 3 to 4 weeks of age. Then from 4 weeks they start to slowly get introduced to the rest of the household animals. Our puppies leave having received their first vaccination, microchip, worming every 2 weeks of their life up until the time they leave and DNA parentage test. Starting off the new owners with a great start is essential to us and as such new owners will receive food that the puppy is on that will last at least 2 weeks, a blanket covered in the scents of mum and littermates to help pacify them, a very detailed information folder we have built over our 15 years of breeding, and a comprehensive puppy pack filled with so many fun and exciting goodies!
