We are a small kennel based just outside Ballarat , We are striving for excellent type and temperament and our foundation dogs are hopefully the beginning of a long relationship with the breed . All 3 dogs are currently Aust Champ Title holders . We have a mixture of beautiful Australian and Imported bloodlines . Our DNA profiles that have so far been submitted are 7 Panel Negative to genetic faults . Enquires are very welcome about future show prospects or simply pets for life long home's when puppy's are available .

Have owned and bred initially toy poodles since 1970 and long haired miniature dachshunds since 1990. The dachshunds are a delightful little dog who will meet most of what you desire in a dog as your pet. Intelligent, loyal and loving. They enjoy interaction with others so puppy school or any advanced form of doggy education is always met with delight I have been exhibiting my dogs since 1970 and for me it has become a pleasant social sport and over the years I have made some lifelong friendships

Sarsica Miniature Dachshund Kennels have been breeding since 1995 with the utmost enjoyment and success that has been shared by this family orientated breed. We have won many Best of Breeds both at Sydney Royals and Melbourne Royals over the years. We have established our breeding lines on the English imported dogs we have selectively chosen to use. Our miniatures both longhair and smooth hair are of correct size and of beautiful type and temperamant.

We have 3 of our beautiful babies who will be looking for their home for Christmas. Arwen - female chocolate and cream Gimli- male chocolate shaded red Elrond - male black and tan (with a wee goatee!) All three are really sweet, happy babies who love to cuddle and play! A bit about our breeding program: Our parents are back scored - this is an x ray protocol that looks at the number of calcifications in the spine. The more calcifications in the spine at a young age (2-4 years old), the more likely a genetic risk of ivdd (and therefore that dog should not be bred). We also patella and hip score - all clear. Parents are PRA tested (Progressive retinal atrophy, a type of blindness) to ensure babies aren’t at risk of PRA. Raised in our home, not in a kennel. We use Puppy Culture raising our babies - this is an enrichment protocol for raising babies to expose them to a variety of stimuli (sights, sounds, smells) so they are less anxious and more well-rounded going to their new homes. Puppies will come with limited register ANKC papers (strictly not for breeding or showing). They will have 2 of 3 puppy vaccinations, wormed at 2,4,6,8,10 weeks of age, flea/tick prevention and microchipped. They will be ready for their homes at 10 weeks old, which is around Christmas.

Due to a very unfortunate medical issue in our family, we are having to find new homes for our very beloved Dachshunds. Minnie and Murphy are both looking for the perfect family/families to love them forever. Minnie is our gorgeous, Miniature Long Haired Black and Tan Dapple, Female. DOB: 22/04/2023. Minnie is 4.2kgs. Minnie has just previously had a gorgeous litter of 4 puppies. She was a fantastic mother, and had a smooth natural labour, with no complications. Minnie has been raised in our home with our 2 young sons. She is excellent with children and other animals too. She can be shy at first, but quickly warms up to new people. DOB: 20/05/2023. Murphy is approx. 6kgs. Murphy has such a gentle, soft natur. He is gentle with kids and great with other animals.
