I’m a breeder of long haired miniature dachshunds based in northern nsw. Currently have pups available.

Specialising in miniature long-haired dachshunds: red, cream, black & tan, black & cream. Quality house-reared puppies from champion bloodlines occasionally available to loving homes. We have shared our life with these gorgeous little characters since the 1970s both in the UK and Australia and I've been a registered breeder since 2006. Our home is on acreage in the beautiful Bega Valley and our dogs live inside the house as part of our family. Basito Miniature Dachshunds are a small, family run kennel in Sydney. Our main focus is to strive to improve on health and temperament with our focus being on diet,socialisation and wellbeing. First and foremost we are passionate about this particular breed, we love to promote the miniature dachshund as a loving, loyal companion for a variety of people and their unique family structure. My introduction of long hair miniature dachshunds into my family came about a few years ago when I purchased my first long haired red girl, Poppy. Poppy’s temperament is a genuine, loving, sweet nature, she is very adaptable to her surroundings, happily embracing being out on social walks as well as being just as content to spend the afternoon on our laps just taking in the days with us. I find the temperament of the long haired dachshunds to be well suited to an older owner as well as a first time dachshund owner. Poppy has blessed us with 5 beautiful red puppies for her first litter, they are all happy, healthy and thriving at 5 weeks old ( 29Febuary 2024). There are 2 beautiful boys within the litter that are searching for a forever family. Please feel free to contact me by phone if you feel you are ready to welcome a new family member into your home. I currently have a beautiful litter of long haired miniature dachshunds, still only weeks old so the puppies will be ready for their new homes in mid December 2024.My puppies are raised in my home and socialised from the day they arrive. All the dachshunds are raised on a fresh raw food diet that Is considerate to their age and individual needs. I pride myself in raising well tempered animals that can go on to make loving companions. They are already looking just like mum and dad with beautiful shaped heads, lovely long ears and very soft coats. Toilet training is going well and basic training has begun. They would make wonderful pets or excellent for showing to an approved breeder. They both parents carry Cream Genetics. The parents have beautiful natures being calm, gentle, confident, friendly to all and they just love affection! Both parents have all of the desired traits, proportions, beautiful shaped head and stance with soft coats, almond shaped eyes and excellent temperaments.
