We currently have a litter of blue merle and tri, 06/11 will be 8 wks old. I had my first dog Sam now 10 yrs young who is a tri-coloured rough collie. He is from a reputable breeder in NZ. I came to know collies after loads of research and believe I have found the one. Sam is the best dog I would ever ask for. After 5 years we were able to have Sam a dog family member too, so we went back to the breeder and luckily able to have a girl from Sam's litter sister who we adored. We agreed on possibility of breeding her in the future, completely naive about breeding. Then the studying has started and is still going, it's HUGE. This is my third Degree. We love this breed so much and would do everything to protect them, and find homes that truely deserve such amazing companions. So we have started small, and knowing the difficulties involved of breeding, we take every step carefully and seriously, and do the right thing. Therefore, all our pups will be fully papered and transparent with the information only for those who seriously consider a collie in their life. Home-bred primarily Sable Rough-coats bred for the Show-ring, Dogsports or Companionship, with an emphasis on superb temperament and soundness for movement ...a true working dog ... promoting the breed in Obedience & Agility performance, and sparingly in the Conformation ring, with a couple of our youngsters consistently doing us proud at shows around Adelaide. All potential breeding stock are DNA-tested and hip-&-elbow-scored for health & soundness considerations, with results available on inquiry. I also look after South Australian Collie Rescue, and will occasionally have pure-bred Collies (Rough or Smooth) of varying ages, and usually of unknown origins, available to the right pet home. All rescue dogs are de-sexed, microchipped, vaccinated, Heartworm tested, wormed, house-trained, and have been socialised with dogs, cats and people, and been given basic training (some a little more than basic, depending on how long they've stayed with me).

While we at Sunshard do breed the occasional litter focusing on health, temperament, and type our main focus is trialling in the performance ring. For this reason we rarely have puppies. When we do have puppies they are bred and raised with performance sports in mind. They are socialised and receive enrichment from birth and we offer support and assistance to our puppy people whenever it is required and we always love to hear how they are going. Our dogs are housed and raised in the home enviroment. All our dogs are hip and elbow scored and DNA tested for CEA, MRD1 and DM.

Coolabine is a small stud breeding quality Rough Collies in three colours. I have kept and bred Collies since 1967. In my breeding program, equal emphasis is placed on conformation and temperament. Dogs are located in a rural environment where exercise in an important part of daily routine. Pups are reared in the house, well socialized with other dogs and people, wormed regularly and will be registered on the main register, vaccinated, microchipped and eye tested prior to release to their forever home.
