We have been breeding for approximately 35 years. We were initially involved in solid cockers but these days we concentrate on the parti colours and roans.

Our dogs are first and foremost our pets with a number of the girls living in the house with us.

We have had a successful show career over many years and still exhibit at selected shows with continuing success.

I have been breeding dogs for over 40 years and was originally breeding Silky Terriers. Then over 17 years ago my daughter talked me into buying a cocker. I instantly fell in love with the Cockers temperament, loyalty and the fact that they are a perfect family pet.

Since then my heart and life has been kept full of joy while loving my beautiful cockers and breeding quality puppies. I have a variety of colours and generally have a mix in each litter

I don't show my fur babies as we live on 60 acres and all my dogs love swimming in the creek and dams. If I showed my dogs I would be never be able keep them in immaculate show condition as they love the water and the country life.

All my dogs have had full genetic tests by Orivet which included PRA.
I am a lifetime member of Dogs NSW Member Number 2100016384 and strive breed quality pups.
All pups grow up within my family and are also loved by my children and grandchildren

I am located about an hours drive north of Newcastle. I don't export my puppies however have sent them to all states in Australia

I generally have a few litters each year and all pups are microchipped, vaccinated, have a full vet check and vet certificate, I also supply a full puppy pack along with limited registered papers (Dogs NSW)

Our kennels includes champion Cockers in various colours including Black/White and Orange/White and Orange Roan and Blue Roan. Temperament and good health are of prime concern to us. Puppies are sometimes available.

Dogs we have bred have gained Conformation Championships plus Flyball and Tracking titles. Some have also become excellent Therapy Dogs including the Delta Therapy Dog of The Year 2019.

We here at Rakiura Cockers are very happy to announce we are expecting a litter of pure breed pedigree gold puppies due mid August
They will be mostly solid gold in colour and there just might be a black one or two

The Parents are perfect examples of the breed and are free of detectable genetic diseases as will the puppies by parentage
The dad is an Australian champion show dog imported from the UK he is a very calm boy keen for adventure and is a pleasure to take for a walk, he is a lovely boy and a pleasure to have around
The mum has champion show lines in her pedigree and is a wonderful calm outgoing girl who loves the beach and a swim, she lives here with us and is our daughters favorite
