We breed Chesapeake Bay Retrievers under the kennel prefix Webfoot since 2007, having previously bred in partnership under the kennel prefix Tenarda for 30 years. We have enjoyed many achievements. Webfoot Chesapeakes concentrate on outstanding retrieving ability while also exhibiting sound, dual purpose dogs in the show ring. In 2007, homebred DUAL CHAMPION (Retrieving) Tenarda Firecracker ('Cracker') completed the AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL RETRIEVING TRIAL, being one of 8 finishers, out of 59 dogs. He was BEST MINOR BREED in the Trial. In 2008 AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION Webfoot Bear River won the DOGZONLINE NATIONAL BREED POINTSCORE Competition and also won the RISING STAR Award. In 2009 he was BEST OF BREED at QUEENSLAND ROYAL SHOW. WEBFOOT are proud to be ADVANCE® CHESAPEAKE BAY RETRIEVER BREEDER OF THE YEAR, 2009 & 2010. Southwest (Bluewing Chesapeakes) breeder of Chesapeake Bay retrievers for hunting show or as family dogs. As a keen hunter of Duck and Quail I like to see these dogs working in the field, and I love the attention they get from other people when working. All of my CBR's have had success throughout the respective seasons in NSW SA and VIC. My dogs travel with me hunting and as companions where ever possible including to my work place every day and as such are well socialised. Living on property they are regularly exercised in field work, swimming and socialised with other animals.
Teal has been featured in the 2022 Beretta Calendar and other publications as well as having a successful hunting season.
I also have a prodigy of the 2022 litter you can see and meet.
While these dogs are loyal and keen hunting dogs who work well in extreme conditions, they are social animals, if hunting is not your taste I am just as happy to see my pups go to a good home and family.

We are one of the few breeders and exhibitors of this beautiful breed in Australia. Having purchased our first "chessie" in the early 80's, we loved the breed right from the start.
The chesapeake bay retriever is a wonderful companion, loyal and affectionate.
We have imported 2 male chesapeake bay retrievers in the last few years from Stormbay kennels in New Zealand and these boys have left a mark with the chessies of Australia and we look forward to what the future will produce from these lines.
We have owned bred and shown Chessies for 17 years here in the Illawarra of New South Wales.All our dogs are raised as pets and are house dogs.We thank Tenarda, Stormbay , Crowlee and Bamgyps kennels for their wonderfully bred dogs that have contributed to the Chessiehaven dog linage .In this time we have bred several litters and these have produced champions (Thanks to Margaret Wedgewood) .

flea/tick/heartworm/all wormer treated, and microchipped.
He is enthusiastic, has a happy personality, and has been well-socialized with people and other dogs. He has been brought up in a home environment and will make an excellent family companion. It is a talented litter, and selected pups are suitable for retrieving training and the show ring. This breed loves outdoor activities and as with all dogs they require a safe, fully fenced yard.
