OGARAF Kennels

is a celebrated RUSSIAN BLACK TERRIER breeder, based in Mt. Evelyn, Victoria.

I have been involved in the breeding of dogs since 1980's. Initially, breeding the Rottweiler, and from 2003 serious involved with the "BRT".

I have been involved in the dog show confirmation aspect as well as obedience training.

I endeavour and strive to breed sound, healthy and strong dogs, and aim to educate their new owners, to ensure these precious and beautiful dogs obtain the love, care and attention they deserve.

My dogs are bred for Conformation and Temperament. In addition, all appropriate testing have been undertaken.

Consequently, I have been associated with Yarrawon Kennels where I have been extremely fortunate to obtain all my puppies from carefully selected dogs and have been bred according to the Russian Standard to ensure that this breeding retains its integrity.

Russia is the home country of the Black Russian Terrier (BRT) and is also my native country. I started breeding and showing these beautiful dogs in Russia in 1991, using some of best blood lines available in Moscow. It was a delight to be able to obtain a BRT puppy CH Yarrawon Catarina (CASSIE) from Rod Maruff here in Melbourne 20 years ago and start my own Ruslana Kennel .
In 2019 we got the new champion and BOB winner on Melbourne Royal show Ruslana Harvard (owner Terry Lia) which become stud dog for our kennel.
RUSLANA Jezabell finishes her Champion title and get all her health tests with a great results.

We at BERNEDALE, are super excited to announce our impending litter, which will be our first since 2022.
With over a quarter of a century of breed experience behind us, we anticipate the arrival of both rough & smooth coated puppies, some of which may be made available to approved family homes.
We do not breed solely to sell puppies, primarily we only plan a litter when there is something we wish to keep ourselves from a particular sire & dam!
As such, all our litters are planned with much consideration given to an extended history & record of good health, plus hip & elbow scores of both the sire & dam.
All our babies will be wormed regularly, they will have had both their front & rear dew claws removed, they will be microchipped, DNA profiled, vaccinated, vet checked & registered with Dogs QLD.
When you purchase a Bernedale puppy, you own it outright & we make no further demands on that puppy, other than ask you to keep in touch!
Occasionally a puppy may go out on breeders terms, of which there will be no fees incurred whatsoever!
All our puppies go to their new homes with a very extensive care manual & we offer life long support, we take no deposits & keep no waiting lists; our puppies go to those that express the most interest and we believe can provide them with the best home.
