At Karma Spirit we believe in producing healthy, good structured puppies and dogs with wonderful temperaments for both show and home. We live on a small acreage property in the Grampians Region of Victoria. Our dogs are family first and show dogs second. Our puppies are hand raised in the home with lots of love and socialised with our family and friends, our other dogs and our cat. All puppies go to their new homes vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and with registration papers. We also include a puppy starter pack.

Small family raised kennel where our bassets are a part of our family. We believe in breeding healthy, conformationally correct, beautiful tempered examples of the breed. Our bassets are with us as part of our family - you'll find them holidaying with us, travelling with us for work, and in general seeing what mischief they can get into around the farm. We show our dogs and also enjoy different training pursuits with them. While we breed mainly for ourselves, we may occasionally have puppies available to the best of homes.

We are a small kennel located in the quiet town of Keppel sands QLD on a small farm. We enjoy show casing our bassets in confirmation dog shows. They also enjoy life on and around our fame with our children and other animals

We are located on a small acreage in the Wide Bay Region of Queensland. Where our Bassets enjoy our home life and their kennels. Since 2008 we have enjoyed a number of successes in the Show ring, Breeding our dogs that have won Best in Groups and Shows and culminating in Best of Breed/Group Winner at the Brisbane Royal "EKKA" with my Girl Lowset Our Queen Victoria. Our focus is Breeding Bassets for type, conformation, bone and a wonderful temperament. Importantly our Breeding program only includes those that have been ANKC eye tested and approved. Going some way to future proofing the Basset from health issues. Our puppies are born in our home (our bedroom) and are socialised with other animals including our cats and are gradually introduced to the whelping bay by the time they are six weeks old and from there to the grown up kennels. They go through all the required pre-approvals before they go to there forever home and are micro-chipped, vaccinated, wormed, Dogs Queensland Registered, DNA tested, Vet Checked and provided with a personalised Lowset Puppy and Advance Puppy Pack. I encourage all purchasers to contact me should they be unable to care for their Basset so that I might be able to re-home where ever possible We are not frequent breeders and breed mainly for ourselves to have a dog/bitch to Show in the ring as this has become a favourite past time. We currently have three tri colour female puppies that are ready to go to their new homes now (just in time for Christmas). The cost of our puppies is $3.500 and that includes registration (full registration with Dogs Qld), immunisation, micro-chipping, chiropractor check and a vet check prior to departure. Our pedigrees are of the highest standard and quality, with blood lines including dogs imported from the United States of America, England, and Ireland. We take great pride in breeding sound basset hounds, and as a result of this have had major wins in many states, and our Kennel name appearing on many winning dogs throughout this country and overseas, which is something we are very proud of. We have 50 years of trouble free breeding and have clean lines as we have been very careful with what we have used to improve the breed. Some of our more recent successes include winning Best In Show at the Basset Hound National Show held in Victoria in November 2023, Best in Show at both the Qld and NSW Basset Hound Club Championship shows as well as Best of Breed at both shows held at the Brisbane Royal in 2024.
