Aust. GRAND Ch. Southbank Black Market (Jag) provided us with some excellent progeny and gained his Grand Title in under 2 years of showing. Jag was the ultimate labrador and he helped look after of his puppies while he was with us. Our other males also spend time with their progeny and just love it.

2007 was our rest year for showing and 2008 saw Sue return with Shaundar Rising Sun (Eve) who is the last yellow daughter we kept from Jag.

We are also excited that from our girl (Tina) Aust. Ch. Shaundar High Society's first litter to Aust. Ch. Southbank Black Market - six of the eight progeny are being shown in Australia and 3 overseas countries with all of them gaining excellent results.

Three of Jag's sons and one of his daughters have now gained their titles - Shaundar Solidarity in Singapore attains his Singapore Championship Title by winning Best of Breed and Reserve in Group! Shaundar Black Shadow in Indonesia and Shaundar Black Tycoon in Adelaide and Shaundar Empressa in Qld. There are more progeny who are also nearly titled from the same litters. Now their progeny are starting to be shown and are gaining excellent results also.

2009 will see Sue continue to campaign Shaundar Rising Sun..

Formally from Avalon on Sydney's Northern Beaches, I relocated in November 2005 onto 5 acres at Braemar near Mittagong in the Southern Highlands

Life for myself and my dogs is much more peaceful, healthier and more relaxed, and the dogs really enjoy the extra space and freedom.

By living a rural life, and not the frantic and polluted pace of city life, my puppies receive much more individual attention from an early age, are more laid back and outgoing, having larger areas to explore when out and about, and are well socialised with numerous visitors.

For the older dogs daily life is never boring, just one big adventure.

I breed for Type,Temperament and Soundness and all stock is Hip and Elbow Xrayed and scored, and have Optigen (USA) Eye Certificates and or Current Eye Certificates.

Puppies are Registered with The Royal NSW Canine Council Ltd (DOGS NSW), Microchipped, had their 1st C5 Vaccination, plus "Pro Plan" Puppy pack, Diet and Care Chart.

I breed selectively for quality rather than quantity and my dogs and puppies live as part of the family.

I use mainly Imported English and American Bloodlines, and I breed all three colours i.e Yellow, Black and Chocolate.

I am currently a small kennel located near the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria. I breed for temperament, soundness and type with the intention of keeping something from each litter to exhibit. All our breeding stock are hip/elbow xrayed and have their eyes checked annually. Our puppies are house raised with children, other animals and loving care. Cavajal Labradors are not happy to be just lounge lizards. They have been successful in the show ring and in the field as well as working to detect contraband. Of late they have been seeking higher qualifications by attending educational institutions.

Cavajal Labradors are working in an exciting initiative: "Labs 'n Life" - helping young people experience positive anticipation through working with the multiple talents and abilities of the Labrador Retriever.

Our dogs are thriving on the demanding chores of beach walks, learning new skills, obedience work and then the oh so anticipated calming and grooming sessions, not to mention the adulation afforded when having to visit the kids in schools!

As a result of this involvement, some Cavajal Labradors will find themselves working 24/7 to improve the safety and quality of life of some young people.

They are also happy "helping" around the house!
