Hello All I am inquiring whether there is any dog handlers in the showing circuit that would be interested in taking on the show/handling work for female GSP I have a USA import that landed approximately 10 weeks ago (she has just gone 18 months) I should have the transfer in a couple of days as dogs vic are running behind and I am keen to get her started asap. I'm putting the feelers out for an experienced and capable 'dog person', who would be interested in a live in position with a full time job.
In this role you would be providing quality care to our Finnish Lapphunds- adults and puppies- including giving medications, grooming, transport to and from vets appointments. A large component of this role is providing training and socialisation to our puppies, as part of our 'Super Puppy Program'. This program incorporates Puppy Culture and Avidog principles, and helps to give our puppies the very best start to life.
This isn't a kennel hand role, we have junior staff in this role. Although there may be occasions when you would be asked to fill in when someone is on leave. You would work a 5 day a week roster, 38 hours per week.
I'm looking for someone who is passionate about dog/puppy training and development, and truely loves getting to know dogs individually and bringing out the best in them.
