I have been involved with the Dog World for about 29 years when I exhibited my first toy dogs. Shortly afterwards I met and fell in love with Bouviers and have been owned by several ever since that point of time.
I have been very active in the herding world and understand what many of our working dogs look like when they are earning their keep! My secret little dream would be to judge a conformation show for a breed one day and then judge a herding trial of the same breed/dogs the following day! Just a dream!
I am one of the founding members of "The Continental Herding Club INC" in Queensland and have held several roles in that club during the time including the position as President, Vice President and Secretary. Currently working int he club as President.
I am a fully accredited Herding Judge for all tests, all trials and all levels and have judged in Qld, NSW, Vic and South Australia over the last 10 years.
I am currently an active member of the Ipswich Kennel Club .
During 2016, I elevated as a Championship Show Judge in Group 5.
Passed my elevation exams for Group 6 in 2020.
During 2021, I elevated to Championship Show status for Group 1.
During 2024, elevated to Championship Show Status for Group 7 and now working towards Group 4.
I cannot thank my mentors, coordinators and exhibitors enough for all the time they have invested in me over the last few years. My journey has been well supported by so many and I appreciate that they have shared their experience and time with me. Thank you.
I have a strong belief that our working dogs should be fit for function and at least have the skills required for the breed that they were bred for. I have trained, trialled and judged dogs in the herding arena for the last twenty years and find it such a joy watching our purebred dogs doing what they were bred to do.
Current interest area with my Miniature Pinscher is in Scent Work trialling. LOVING the camaraderie in the car park with fellow triallers and the journey that my little girl and I are on!
