As a keen exhibitor and breeder I only select "Quality" whippets to breed - all litters are reared in the house and well socailised. Welcome to Teshkamere Whippets! We are an ANKC registered, small home based kennel in Largs Bay, South Australia. We are extremely passionate about producing and raising happy, healthy and well rounded whippets that are true to standard and fit for function, and that fit perfectly into the family home. We strive to produce Whippets that are not only beautiful family companions, but that also have the ability to excell in various sporting disciplines including, but not limited to conformation, lure coursing, agility and flyball. We believe in promoting best practice principles for the raising of our puppies and as such, dedicate a large amount of time to undertaking puppy protocol handling, ESI and ENS, and individual puppy evaluations. Our dogs and puppies are raised in our home and we are completely dedicated to the promotion and preservation of this incredible breed. Well known as a successful breeder and exhibitor of Basset Hounds since 1975 and Pointers since 1986, I have now formally committed to Whippets. Whippets have resided at Chakrata since 1996 and have been successfully exhibited for Skyeway (Jon & Annabel Gunn) in the past. I am now experiencing some rewarding and enjoyable times with my own stock in the conformation show ring, and have been top breeder of Whippets (DOL Pointscore) in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and leading in 2021 (NB 2020 was cancelled due to COVID). i am licensed for five groups as a Conformation judge, those being Toys, Terriers, Gundogs, Hounds and Working Dogs. My judging experience has encapsulated Specialties in many breeds as well as Groups and the opportunity to judge abroad.

We have a gorgeous, sweetheart of a boy available from our current litter of 7. Hendrix is such a sweet gentle boy who is 12 weeks old and able to go to his new home now. All of our puppies are reared in the house (they are born in our lounge room) and stay there until 8 weeks of age. They grow up meeting everyone and hearing all the noises of a normal household, such as vacuums, TV's, radio's ect... They learn how to socialize properly with our older dogs, and are well socialised with people of all ages. Before our puppies go to their new homes we begin their teachings on a lead, we start house training, crate training and car riding. When they are ready to go to their new homes they will leave with a bag of food (if picked up from us), a booklet of information for the new owners, a blanket, some toys, treats, their own lead and collar set.
