Mycroft is a small kennel located at Lower Portland, near Windsor NSW. My love affair with Welshies began in the 80's when I saw 2 dogs imported into Australia by Scott & Eira Taylor (Nantyderi) from New Zealand. At the time there were only a few of the breed in Australia, so to further my knowledge of this beautiful breed, I decided to go to "Crufts" in the UK were I could see the breed in numbers of over 400 with outstanding depth of quality. I have had the opportunity to visit & meet some of the breeders of the best Welsh Springer Kennels in England, Scotland & Wales & see some of the best Welsh Soringer Spaniels in the world. I believe that the best dogs come from the UK & we breed to the UK Breed Standard. Over a period of time I have imported 4 dogs from the UK including an English Show Champion from one of the top kennels there. My most recent import, Supreme Champion Bushwacket Hot Pursuit via Highclare (UK) "Chase" is a Multi Best in Show, All Breeds winner. I travel regularly overseas to go to shows in both England & Europe & as a Licenced All Breeds Judge, have judged the breed in many countries of the World & also give the Breed Lecture for the Conformation Judges Training Scheme for Dogs NSW. My dogs are Best in Show winners, Runner Up Best in Show winners & Multi Group & Class in Show winners & most importantly of all, a joy to live with. All stock are hip & elbow scored & eye tested.

At Frecklewyn we believe that welsh springers are not just beautiful - they are also excellent dog sport competitors and all-round wonderful companions. Our foundation bitch, Ch Mycroft My Bridie ,is currently competing successfully in Obedience and Rally, and has enjoyed introductory training in Tracking and Retrieving. Bridie is also outstanding at demanding pats and cuddling on the lounge! We believe that any breeding program should seek to produce dogs of excellent temperament, conformation and health. We are particularly concerned with reducing the risk of inheritable diseases, and thus ensure all relevant health tests have been done prior to breeding.

First and foremost, GOLDMAID have been health testing this wonderful breed for almost 15 years, puppy buyers need to make sure that the breeder you choose completes all the relevant health testing to make sure you purchase a healthy puppy. At the tender age of approximately 13 years he won a Speciality Best in Show under the well known and respected Gundog Specialist Stephanie Rickard. He is now enjoying retirement on that high note and providing guidance to his progeny. Tia- Tal's daughter, also an in show and in group winner is about to return from maternity leave. Treasure (AI) - the new addition to the family from Tia and Statesman Spectacular Bid (USA) has already won a few Baby in show and group and will be giving her best to achieve greatness and will try and better the results her mother and grandfather have been able to achieve.

Born 13th August. 4 Girls 3 Boys Archie is a top of the standard male with a rich mahogany coat, rarely seen in the Tervueren in Australia. Imported from Bergerac de hu kennels in Hungary, this kennel regularly produces world class Agility dogs who can also compete in IGP. Archie has the sound temperament we have come to expect from this kennel, with strong but controllable drives ingrained in his pedigree. He is a clear headed dog with great confidence and kindness. This is Samara's second and last litter. Samara has been awarded Excellent and BOB at Specialty Level and has shown strong instinct in Herding and Lure Coursing.
